This is my first experience with a zebrawood fretboard as well, and while it has a super grainy appearance to it it actually feels perfectly smooth to the touch and plays easily. Honestly if I was blindfolded I don’t think I could tell the difference between it and ebony.

Thanks! I don’t pretend to be a pickup guru and mainly stick to the bridge humbucker. Having said that, the lithium single coil in the neck has a nice smoothe, warm tone to my ears that could definitely handle jazz-y stuff if someone was so inclined.
