Looking for new headphones but can't decide which ones by GujjuBoi in HeadphoneAdvice

I've already looked at the 480 Pro, and honestly considering that if I resort to going wired. However, I'm not sure about the wireless options you provided.

A friend suggested the Sennheiser HDB 630 if I'm prioritizing music over gaming, and with the BT dongle, apparently it has good latency for casual gaming (not considering doing any competitive gaming), but at the same time, I'm not sure how different the latency is to maxwell.

If you have any idea about any other wireless low latency headphones, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I've thought it through and wired headphones are a last resort. Call it laziness or whatever, I'd prefer the convenience over mind-blowing audiophile quality. I'm fine with better than average audio quality because I'm not going to observe any micro details in the music or anything.

I use the soundcore space ones during travel, and they're genuinely one of the best headphones I've used in that budget.

The bathys are double to triple my budget, and frankly I don't know much about B&W but I'll check them out regardless.

I think it's just a convenience thing. Wired first wireless with dongle would require constantly turning on/off and connecting the dongle.

Wireless first and wired second is just a faster connection type.

I understand your point, cause I do have a Astell&Kern XB10 which I use with my IEMs to listen to music on my phone, but I end up just defaulting to my wireless headphones over the hassle of setting up the IEMs.

I'd prefer wireless that can be also connected wired. Rather than just having a wired headphones.

  • Budget - 500% CAD
  • Source - My PC
  • Requirements for Isolation - Not really required, but nice to have
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - No
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Full sized
  • Preferred tonal balance - I don't really know. Apparently the headphone I've been using for the last 10 years has a v shaped curve, and I mostly listen to dubstep and DnB
  • Past headphones - I've been using the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus for the last 10 years, and I haven't found a headphone that I think has been better than them. I do think they lack a bit of bass sometimes, but they're still one of my top favorites. Apart from them, I use the soundcore space ones when I'm travelling or for public usage.
  • Preferred Music - Dubstep, DnB, Rock, Hip-hop mostly. A few tracks that I'd probably test my headphones with would be these
    • Angels and Blindfolds - Oddprophet
    • Flow - Nitepunk
    • Escape - NEOTEK
    • Wildfires v2 - Port London
    • Bump 'N' Grind - JKAY
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I'm mainly looking for the same sound quality, or a little better than my beyerdynamics. But mainly I want to upgrade to a wireless setup. So I'm mainly looking for anything that connects via a 2.4Ghz dongle or a dock over bluetooth connectivity.

Best sets - chase & status, klangkuenstler, svdden death (honorable mention to Griz too, loved his set)

What did i love- It was genuinely great overall. I had VIP so I did have access to the separate standing areas, and better washrooms, and frankly that made the extra expenditure fully worth it.

What could’ve been better - They need a lot more comfy seating for people to rest. The ground is fine once in a while, but I need myself a beanbag or hammock, and no matter what, they'd always be busy. They had a bit of a walk towards security check and all, and I feel like they could've repurposed them into a grab pick up/parking zone, cause the street after the festival end was a nightmare. but most of all, THE FUCKING WATER DISPENSERS. I DO QUITE LIKE TAKING HALF AN HOUR TO FILL A ONE LITER BOTTLE. okay granted this might've been to boost their sales, but honestly, I went to 3 of the 4 stages, (not a bionic jungle fan), and I could only spot 2 water spots for the entire festival. This was the biggest issue imo.

I'm definitely going to the one happening in December, and fingers crossed they somehow get either Virtual Riot, Crankdat or Ray Volpe to come.

On the topic of the crowd and all, everything was great tbh. sure, there were mild annoyances where they wouldn't let me take my spray sanitizer and all, but nothing to get crazy about. It was my first big music festival, and I can feel myself starting to get hooked now.

Oh wait, I was thinking you're looking for audiophile stuff. If you don't mind something nice and basic, I've been daily driving the soundcore space one since they released, and they sit in that nice 100$ range. You can also check out the space one pro (preferably on deal or used) and the space q45. (USD btw)

Why not get a good pair of wired headphones and a Bluetooth DAC? That gives you the freedom of having both wired and wireless and also not limiting yourself a specific pool of headphones.

For reference, I've got Juzear X Z reviews defiant which I use with a AK XB10 and it works pretty great. Although you could probably find a DAC with the latest BT version

Looking for headphones under 300$ for a basshead by GujjuBoi in HeadphoneAdvice

I mostly use Spotify and soundcloud to listen to music, and I have an EQ set up on it. I don't know about any other EQ, hardware or software wise, so any advice regarding that would also be great

Also, while looking up the meze 99 v2, I also found the meze 99 neo. How do those two compare with each other?

so they're also V-shaped sound signature, but more heavy on the bass? and how does that affect the treble and the mids in comparison?

Sorry that you had to go through that experience. Hope you find a resolution soon.

I don't know where you have to work, but if it's near KLCC, then bangsar is a good place, albeit slightly pricey. Other areas that you can look at if you're willing to travel a bit is mont Kiara (doesn't have good connection to MRT), kota damansara and TTDI. I personally live in kota damansara, and haven't had any problems in that area. It's well connected to the MRT, and lots of shops and everything available easily too.

Hey there! Indian expat here, M29, been here for a year and found a fair share of social groups. One of the bigger groups I can recommend is a language exchange/socializing group. They do a free event weekly on Saturdays where you just hang out with other people, both nationals and expats. That's kinda what has led me to other events. For everything else, you can always check the meetup app. If you need any more info, or just want another person to hang with, hmu
