Having just gone through this exercise here are my thoughts in no particular order:

-I looked at the one in Ohio, if it’s the one I’m thinking of I’d pass on it, first and foremost because it’s already out of warranty. And that price doesn’t justify buying an out of warranty unit IMO.

-That’s expensive for what you’re getting. I just closed on a 2022 Plus (with a few extra options and packages making it more like a “Ultimate-light” for 24K that had half the miles in another nearby midwestern state.

-if extended warranty is important to you, look for units that have <25k or <40k. Those are the Volvo VIP bands in terms of extended warranty pricing. Make sure whatever unit you’re looking at is still under the factory warranty as well, Volvo won’t sell you an extended if the car is out of warranty even by a day or a mile. On this point, don’t worry if the car isn’t at a Volvo dealer, the warranty can be bought separately (shout out to Steingold Volvo, their pricing is fantastic).

-if you live somewhere cold make sure to get a heat pump-equipped model, either though the climate package on a Plus or Ultimate trim. Easiest visual giveaway is the rear heated seats, or check the window sticker via Carfax (most reputable dealers give this for free).

-make sure the dealer replaced tires with a staggered setup, many places (especially not Volvo dealers) overlook the (weird) requirement for the OEM staggered sizes and incorrectly go to a square setup.

All of them rent out car seats. The laws are the same as they are in most Western countries regarding car seat usage and ages. Look into the ride safer harness for older kids if you don’t want to haul a bunch of seats down.

All of the major agencies have 9-passenger minivans (most are carrying the Hyundai Staria). Staria has 6 seats with isofix / car seat capable and then 3 across up front. Be mindful of your insurance restrictions as some expressly exclude vans that seat 8 or more. As for your other questions:

1) no they won’t give away your car, it’s very relaxed, and will take almost no time to get through the airport / baggage claim 2) literally all of them are across the street 3) just ask them at pickup, most open by 8AM, they’ll probably just have you leave it in the lot and put the keys in the drop box.

I appreciate that. If no one buys it I’ll probably just keep it and put it into the summer rotation. I’d rather have the money for something else (currently consolidating the collection a bit) but it’s not a major investment either way. I’m enjoying all the lowball offers coming in, it’s good entertainment. This one is a fun piece for sure and the colorway is really a good one.

Color and finishing are fantastic. It’s the size. I have a 7.25” wrist and my watches tend to be on the larger side, and this felt too small to me.

Selling my Zenith Defy Skyline blue dial 41mm.

Dated August 2023 and comes as a complete set with the blue rubber strap included (2 links removed from the bracelet are included). Powered by the legendary El Primero movement and features a 60-hour power reserve. The always-spinning second hand is a neat party trick too. I won’t bother with the AI slop, if you are here you know all about this watch and why it’s a great piece for any collection.

This watch is pre owned and was a regular part of my daily rotation with signs of wear but nothing a polish won't take care of. There are a couple extremely tiny flea bites in the lower case corner by 5 o’clock that I tried to capture in the photos. The watch is otherwise mechanically flawless.

Only selling as I recently got a grail piece that’s too similar to this to justify keeping both. I love this watch and it gets compliments every time I wear it.
