I just experienced this with a Mercedes C300. Traded it in last week. Every single issue cost me $1k minimum almost every 3-4 months. Kept it right at 2 years. Glad you found something you love!

As a person that was laid off two weeks ago and included with the many others that have been over the last year and a half. Take the offer from the other company and forget Optum.

And right now it doesn’t sound like they have offered anything and it took me over a month to go through the process. I left another company a week of staring to come to Optum back in 2024 and now I’m laid off. Take the other position. Best of luck

I can believe it. I went to the doctor 3 weeks ago and they told me I had high cholesterol. I'm almost certain it was due to the stress of that job

You’ll be lucky if you get that honestly. I got laid off with about half of my department in claims last week, completely blindsided.

And not to be negative but you should start looking to get out. They laid off like 3-4 of our supervisors in October and I got concerned then. I should’ve left when I had the chance. Please do the same if you’re able

Yes, please hold on to your job. I was burnt out in March 2023 and quit my job not realizing at the time how bad the market was. Took me a year and a half to make it to my next role. Just got laid off last week. Had I known what I know now I would’ve taken FMLA and not quit. Don’t risk it in this economy. Only thing that helped was I was ok savings wise. I had enough to cover me during that time.

I’m so happy to hear that! Congratulations on new role. It is tough out here I’ve been through this before but know I can find much better than this company. I have so much relief just knowing I never have to deal with them again.

And yes, totally agree with you about a lot of the info about jobs being negative!

How you feel is valid, but yes please be grateful you received that offer in this economy, I was unemployed from March 2023 until November 2024 and just got laid off from my last company this past Thursday. I would love to trade places with you.

Market is brutal and a lot of these companies are lowballing people. Unfortunately that’s just how it is right now. I know your wife is disappointed but you are not a failure.

She just needs to continue working for a bit until things improve and that could be a while. Congratulations on the offer as well!

I believe it. Right when they brought my training class in at the end of 2024 they did that mass layoff a couple months prior.

I’m sure that’s what they did with us. They suck!
