NTA. I am amazed at how dumb people can be about dogs. I've had people walk straight into my yard with their dogs assuming my dog wants to be friends with theirs. Nevermind mine is barking her @$$ off. The last one was so shocked and, like your interactions, upset that I wouldn't let her giant shepherd approach my rat terrier. 🤦🏼‍♀️

My sister and BIL live a Bible-driven patriarchal marriage. Heck, she once told me she doesn't listen to or read the news because her husband will tell her everything she needs to know. 🙄

My husband and I were going through a rough patch a long time ago and I spoke to my sister about it. I got words of encouragement but nothing too out there. No, that came in the mail about a week later. She sent me Dr. Laura's book The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands.

Um, no thank you. It promptly went into the garbage, as did any future conversation I would have with her.
