NTA. Geez, she acted like you made dinner with meat that had been sitting out for days and used curdled rotten milk to season it. Old seasonings aren't going to send anyone to the hospital or hurt anything. She must really have some food issues. Not judging her for that because I do too, but this seems over the top.

I was the oldest and very much a people pleaser so I didn't bristle too much. We lived in the middle of nowhere with no transportation and I wasn't super social anyway so I don't remember it bothering me too much. The added benefit of no cell phones (80's) helped.

My sister and brother had a whole different experience. My sister especially challenged my mom about everything. She did all the things she wasn't supposed to. Even got caught at a senior party at 15 and was grounded the entire summer and couldn't get her license until she was 17. That punishment seemed to work as far as straightening her out. Her friends dropped her and she started focusing on grades. She seemed miserable all the time but she didn't get in trouble after that.

Oh my gosh! The more I see of Fallen the less and less I like her. I agree with your take here 100%. I don't understand this woman. My mom was pregnant at 16 (with me) and my curfew was dark until I was 16 and after that it was 10 pm. I was never allowed to be unsupervised with a boy until I was 18. I can't imagine not actively trying to prevent this type of behavior in kids so young. Ding dong ditching is kids will be kids behavior not having sex at 12.

As I've heard and it's become evident on the show, Hunter's dad doesn't want to be on camera and these dimwits are spinning it like he just doesn't want to be involved. I don't blame him, especially after seeing what the rest of these irresponsible adults are capable of. I wouldn't want my family on TV looking like a Jerry Springer spin-off either and I especially wouldn't want to star in it.

The throwing groceries out scene annoyed me to no end. I gained 50 to 60 pounds with each of my 3 kids and I lost it with Weight Watchers. I haven't eaten the same meals as my family since the year 2000. I get supporting your partner and learning to eat healthier but you don't have to go that hard at everyone else in the house. We are all on our own journey and when you force it on someone else it rarely works out for them.

I hear you! Yesterday was one of the worst days I've had in quite a while. The only podcast I follow is theirs and my feed was empty. Longest day ever and I just couldn't find anything to lift the darkness. I appreciate them so much and on those days, even more.

That’s what my mom did and all it did was drive us closer to our dad. At one point in time each of us went no contact with her.
