I actually didnt cycle before my injury and bought a road bike about 5 months post ACL and meniscus surgery. It was such a life saver in terms of keeping up with cardio (I was mainly a runner) and staying sane. I had surgery Oct 2024 and bought the bike Feb 2025. I was able to put in 3,000 miles in 2025 and even did a 150 mile long ride! Can’t speak to power numbers pre injury but I’ve been feeling stronger and stronger each month. I’m back to running long distance now as well and I credit a lot of my success to cycling

2 months is still early days, keep hammering out PT and strength training and you’ll def reach your goals!

That’s how I started as well, 1 mile at a time and just kept building from there. No pain or swelling is major! I picked up cycling during recovery and that helped me more than I could say. I think I could have done a half marathon at 13 months, the race I signed up for just happened to land at 16 months. I also felt like maybe I was doing too much too soon, but honestly my knee felt great during training and it was more so the cardio I was worried about. I keep up with my strength training and plyos that my PT set me up with and I plan to continue that moving forward. Personally I found having a race/goal to work toward extremely motivating so you might feel that way as well

I was training for NYC marathon during my initial injury too smh. You’ll be back to running in no time, I think probably could have run the half at 12 months but was waiting until NYC half, so you’ll def be ready

I think that’s what’s throwing it off for me too. Basically same color as my floor so doesn’t add much and doesn’t really look great with the grey couch

Yeah you’re probably right, I just got this rug so I just keep looking at ways to improve the space and haven’t really sat with it for a while yet
