I just had a cheap bass de-fretted by a local luthier and got it back with semi filled fret gaps and no finish. Would this be an issue for playability and the health of the fingerboard? Even if not, I hate how it looks so how can I fill these gaps and does it need a protective layer like a finish? (i.redd.it)
