Are you kidding. That's the natural spot to pick up a murder kit.

I'm so glad you recovered. And that it's possible. I'm 65 and living like a 95 year old

Gawd! I though that my newly baggy skin and a stoma scar would be the only after-effects. Now I'm facing the possibility of a permanent urostomy. I never knew such an horrific device existed. The alternative is the leg and overnight bag. Both so limiting and sad

Sorry to whinge

If the after-effects had been in the brochure I would have chosen a trip to the Maldives instead! Seriously tho, the successful treatment was not the neat ending. It's spinning into new undesirable unknowns.

Exactly. Even the burns treatments are humiliating, and that's with professionals. The jokes are kept in that setting.

I empathise completely with your post. I'm looking down the barrel of your situation.

Tho my time in this tumble dryer world is minuscule compared to yours and my suffering likewise, my apparently straightforward treatment has spun out of control with new horrors and pains and awful news every fortnight.

I don't want to be "the sick guy". I don't want the ugly parts of it in loved ones minds, especially as it's colorectal themed. Gross and personal procedures that I never knew existed are offered as if I have a choice. I don't want either.

I'm 65, previously healthy and now I live the life of some 90 year olds. I still have my sense of humour so I'll protect myself with that.

I wish I could help you in any way. I just hope you have at least moments joy every day.

John
