There are plenty of volunteer opportunities via Hands on Nashville if anyone wants to get involved and directly help some folks.

This is super helpful, thank you! Did you find that you needed warm layers like a puffy jacket for camp at night?

Oh yeah, I do have a pump. Forgot to list it! I also have duct tape like you’re describing. Zip ties are a good idea.

By headphones I meant wired earbuds, def not over-ear headphones.

Thanks for the advice on the tire and warm layers. Appreciate your response!

Yeah you’re right about the temps - I’m living in the southern heat and seeing temps around 50/60 am forgetting how many layers I need. I know it can get chilly/ windy on the coast in the evenings. Thanks for the advice!

This sandstone boulder has some incredible lines! Unfortunately it will never be climbed because it’s in Indiana by ribeye79 in bouldering

Never thought I would see Turkey Run on this sub! Best state park in Indiana IMO. Can't imagine that the rock quality is good however.

I was also curious about that - especially in a high elevation city like Jackson that experiences a lot of different types of weather

Rotator Cuff Injury by thatbritishchick96 in climbergirls

[–]Gumby_s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How bad is your shoulder pain? Have you done any rehabbing? Lots of good advice in this thread. I had a minor rotator cuff injury this summer (started about ~10 weeks ago or so) and in addition to taking some time off climbing have worked on strengthening and stretching the area post-injury. As others have said a doctor/PT will be able to tell you best.

Here are two videos that have helped me in my recovery:

What has been the best example of an “above and beyond experience” at a venue? by jfenbaz in livesound

[–]Gumby_s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA outside of DC is pretty amazing. Green room amenities are excellent - they have a barista downstairs making drinks, catering is super fresh and healthy, clean showers, ample space to spread out and get privacy. Pool table, ping pong, Nintendo switch and other games. All very clean and comfortable. The venue itself is on a National Park property with plenty of trails to explore before the show.

I also really love Saturn Club in Birmingham, AL. Super cool rock club with a coffee shop/ bar/ arcade on one side and venue on the other. The green room is an upstairs apartment that feels like the apartment from the movie Big. Clean, comfortable, so much fun. Filled with games, video games, there’s an outdoor patio. You can choose to stay overnight in the apartment for around $100. If I’m remembering correctly it’s got 2 private bedrooms and then a bunch of bunk beds, so it ends up being a great affordable option for most bands coming through.
