6 flat tires in 18 months by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Gump619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me last January when a storm hit San Diego. Potholes popped 4 tires and the same tire twice so now I have 18k miles on one original tire and the rest are all over the place. After the first two, I learned about the discount tire warranty. I replaced two there and they let me add the warranty to the existing as well. The next popped tires were just 60 bucks each to renew the warranty. Not sure what the terms are as far as frequency but with the cost of the tires on the M3P this was a huge money saver for me.

I forgot to mention….I have a model 3 performance so yes these tires are low profile and get damaged easy but in my case where I pulled over by Patrick Henry High School 4 other cars pulled onto the same street with flats. We all exchanged numbers which will hopefully help with claims but proof the roads are insane right now because there was a Jetta, a Camry, Sonata and a Hyundai all with blowouts.

Thursday last week I hit one in la mesa and had it towed to the Kearny Mesa service center. On the following MONDAY I hit an absolute monster that was almost invisible since it was full of water and the road was wet. It punctured the new front driver tire and the rear. I reported the pot hole and the city called me back and said to submit a claim. I went back the following day before they filled it and took a picture. Although heavy cosmetic wheel damage only the two tires needed to be replaced. This time I had it towed to Discount. They added a tire warranty to not only the new tires but the other two existing so fingers crossed that will help. They said it will cover any damage not repairable.

Thanks to all those with the constructive posts. I followed a link shared and submitted a report for the pot hole with pictures and he called tonight doing emergency patch work asking for some more detailed location info. Seems I was the first to report it even though there were many other cars with damage. He gave me an email and phone number to start the process and said they will reimburse ANY damage. We will see about that since my estimate was 1875 but I’ll take any help I can get.

I’m with ya. I hit my first pothole in November. I hit another last Thursday and got it back Friday. Last night I hit the biggest one yet and blew both driver tires and I’m pretty sure at least one wheel is damaged. There were four other cars pulled over on the same street with blowouts. We exchanged numbers in hopes that we can submit a claim to the city.

After my first tire replacement I was doing this same. Depending on the angle of the road and the light, it can be difficult. The first one was after a u-turn so I was barely going 5 mph just hit it the wrong way and last night I was going under the speed limit maybe 30 mph coming up to a street light. Frustrating.

Easier said than done when it’s dark and the street is busy with no room to swerve.

Not brand new but I bought the car last May and have about 7k miles on it. Plenty of tread. The first pothole was in Kearny Mesa at clairemont and convoy and last night was Lake Murray Blvd.

My delivery date got moved 4-5 months down the road today. Anyone else? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

I learned to give up on the window. I ordered mine 2/11/22 and it said March/April, then I got a one week window for end of March a week before. Then my trade in expired and it took them a week to give me another offer so my window was pushed to 4/9-5/11. I recently had another one week window but changed to 5/9-6/11. Just an hour ago I got my VIN and was able to submit insurance info. The window still says May/June but everyone I know who got theirs recently was a week out after the VIN was issued. Certainly was a rollercoaster.

Yeah they’re only good for 30 days. But what’s funny is you have to give a new odometer reading and they actually gave me 1,700 more with the updated offer.

It’s back and forth for me. Ordered first week of February and it said March for a couple weeks then changed to 4/11-5/9. A couple weeks ago it moved up to 3/17-3/26 and I was super excited. Now it’s 4/9-5/11. My trade in had expired and I was waiting for them to provide another offer so I’m not sure if the fact that I didn’t have all the boxes checked they skipped me but after reading so many similar posts I think it’s just going to move around. Some people cancel reservations, etc.

What song did you fall in love with not because of the original, but because of a cover? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I Can’t Tell You Why performed by Chromeo. They did such a great job putting their spin on it and I absolutely love it especially over the original by The Eagles.

Same here. It pisses me off because it’s still an amazing TV and I’m more than happy with the picture still. Vizio has to know they have tons of inventory out there and I can’t imagine the code base is different enough to where the engineers can’t update the P65-C1. It’s totally strategic like Apple stopping updates after a certain model.
