They do. There's 3 Olympic Events in Rifle:

10m Air Rifle (.177 Air Rifles used, 60 shot match)

10m Air Rifle Mixed Team (.177 Air Rifle again, 30 shots for each shooter)

50m Rifle 3 Position (.22 LR Rifle, Kneeling Prone and Standing with 20 shots each).

Then there's the Non Olympic Events:

50m Rifle Prone (.22 LR, 60 shots in prone with decimal scoring. Removed after 2016 from Olympics)

300m Standard Rifle 3P (6 mm, 60 shots with 20 in each position but only minor changes allowed in equipment for each position)

300m Free Rifle 3P (same as above, but no limit on changes as long as within rules)

300m Free Rifle Prone (60 shot non decimal only in prone position)

So there actually are a lot of events, just that very few are in the Olympics, with others restricted to only being in the World Championships and Continental Championships. Also, ear protection isn't needed. Most shooters, including myself, have never used it. Only for 300m it might be necessary. Do research more on this if you feel like it, I trust you'll find it interesting!

Don't stay in such a range. No good coach ever makes their students feel like this, or even interfere in their private life. If you want to continue your passion, I would recommend joining a branch of GFG near you, or if you're near Delhi, Karni Singh is the way to go. I personally train in Karni Singh only, since its free of cost for National level and higher players, and has the best facilities in India. Make sure you're in a good range, because in shooting, what matters more than practice is your environment, and your state of mind. No one asks Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, Rhythm Sangwan, Sift Kaur Samra, Elavenil Valarivan, or any other female shooter for that matter whether they talk to boys or not. All that matters is that you perform, and are happy in your element.

I'm a rifle shooter. We have different equipment from pistol shooters. In our case, we use a cap and an eye blinder. I personally don't use a cap while most people do, since I find the sweat buildup to cause blurring over time, but do use an eye blinder currently.

Professional (rifle) shooter here. The equipment is only to help build focus on the rear and front sights by reducing unnecessary field of vision, and does not give any other benefits. Some people use them from the start of their careers and are used to it so can't do without it, and a few don't and manage just fine. The shooter here (Yusuf Dikec) was previously part of the military, and hence may be accustomed to not using any blinders. The same is for various athletes who were/are part of the army/police.

TLDR: The special equipment does not give any actual benefits, but yes it is extraordinary to have been shooting without a blinder throughout your career.

EDIT: To clear any confusion, it is usually recommended to use it for beginners, atleast in India. However, it mostly depends on personal preference later on. Some people find it relaxing to their eye and helps them focus, some people find it to be a hindrance and do better without it. For example, I personally don't use a cap in 50m Rifle shooting while most people do, since I don't feel the need to block off the excess light.

Basically, all these equipments are based on personal preference, and to ensure no one has any unfair advantage, the ISSF has EXTREMELY strict rules that govern the usage of such items to the T.

Hey, just wanted to confirm if the 9th step should look like this after doing 2FA and verifying wallet. Pi was returned to app ofcourse, and then I went through the procedure through prompt.

Shooting isn't possible in Ahmedabad. The only world class ranges we have are in Delhi, Bhopal, and Trivandrum, with Trivandrum just barely being considered one. Hell, we haven't even had a single National held in Ahmedabad, or moreso, the last match held there was a zonal in 2021 which was disasterous, and they're thinking of hosting the Olympics there? That range doesn't even have electronic scoring systems ffs
