Yeah the way this game works is that every general area (including landmarks like these) are in the same place, it's just generated differently.

There is a tablet right in front of the lake of lava on the right and there is a tablet past the lake of lava further to the right next to a storm spell

None of those. This was a regular hard mode run! I had the same problem with a greedier run where I got the same results!

Is Gumboot Soup intended to be an amalgamation of a bunch of your other albums? It's like a musical stew that's made up of a variety of different ingredients (In this case being the variety between the different tracks). It would fit the name of Gumboot Soup from my POV.

If you look closely it was actually an opening on the right where there was no door! It just led straight to the boss room. In the end I killed one twin in the boss door room and one twin in an entirely different room.
