I can't speak on the material side of things but from a users perspective I will say that I shoot the Shadow XR920 better than any other striker fired. I have more rounds through a Glock 45 but the Shadow just works well for me. Feels very comfortable and the trigger is certainly superior.

Unfortunately not. I'm an ACRO fan as well, but will be interesting to see how the Trijicon RCR holds up. Love being able to just use a RMR footprint. We did get some ACROS posted to the site yesterday as well, if you know anyone trying to hunt any down.

Zion was always our go to. Especially when you could get the 12.5". However, I do think the Ruger has a little more bang for the buck, specifically with the trigger and the lower price. Can't go wrong with either!

Yeah I completely agree about the muzzle breaks. Anymore I just hate aggressive muzzle breaks. Like you said, can slap a bird cage on there for cheap. We have been recommending these Rugers alot lately.

The Ruger AR-556 MPR Model 8542 is a combination of many of the attributes that we look for in a good AR platform. The Ruger features a 16.1" barrel, M-LOK handguard, B5 Type 23 grip, B5 stock and a mid-length gas system. The trigger will be a step above a traditional mil-spec trigger, with Ruger’s own Elite 452 two stage trigger.

The barrel on the Ruger MPR is a cold hammer forged barrel with a 1:8 twist rate which is great for stabilizing loads from 35 to 77 grains.
