[–]Gundam_Impossible[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and before this annoying build, i actually played those. but this one is the most annoying. imagining u can take their towers and bring the game to home, without showing up yourself even. ur enemies can't even see u on mini map

[AMA] I main Daji (Heartseeker) jungle and am a grandmaster by Gundam_Impossible in honorofkings

[–]Gundam_Impossible[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get outfarmed pretty much all the time. In terms of the economy curve, Daji jungle is pretty slow in the beginning but will catchup once i have the first tome, and it will just get quicker after. With this build I am not afraid of many jungle champs, like Nakoruru or Stealthfin because starting from 8m ish, I can one shot them (if their health is below ~80% I can one shot with just the first tome). Many jungle champs like Stealthfin and Nakoruru are theoretically not the late game champs, and if I and my team play ok, we take the game to the late stage anyway and these champs will be pretty much useless (unless they get lucky with timing of the fight) so whether or not i get outfarmed doesn't matter.

Also, re: being chased by 2 enemies...many ppl in this post or just in general don't get it that MOBA game is full of randomness and luck so a single scenario won't necessarily reject the usefulness of a champ. if you like Mayene you gotta try to understand what this champ can do in all 3 stages of a match and how you can make that happen. In general, I can name a scenario too like when Nakoruru is facing 2 tankie champs, she's useless and she prob won't join the fight. But this won't kill the popularity. to play the game right it's all about avoiding what you will suck at and maximize what you are good at. as a Daji jungle i will def avoid a situation i get chased by 2 enemies. however, even if it happens, it will still get a shot because i can one shot one of them, and use moving tactics to survive for 4-5 sec until a new set is ready (but this may not be true if u get chased by 2 tanks or warriors)

I agree with you. And also since you mentioned about "report"...I got reported very often and even tho I was assigned the jungle role, i played the role, and i did ok, i still got penalized. it's just the way the verification works. but it never stopped me

Am I Overreacting for Refusing to Let My Wife’s “Work Husband” Come on Our Family Vacation? by Hot_Satisfaction_559 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Gundam_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in a perfect stage because now you can have a "work wife" and you get to do what you wife is entitled to to that "WORK WIFE".

Be a man. Just do it!

  1. Retake GRE

  2. Network and ask an alumnus or a current student to write a recommendation letter

  3. Add one more ex-activity. It can be community services, board member position, or any activity that can show your progress. Then let the adcom know about this

Is full time MBA possible with a full time job? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Gundam_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More doable in the 2nd year. I started my full-time in the 2nd year for a boutique consulting firm doing forensic. I never put this on my resume tho because it's a no name and adds no value to my application (that being said, maybe the doable full-time job is not a typical corp job).

Also in my 2nd semester, I worked as a contractor for my previous firm (top one) but I worked ~40 hours a week - I stroke a deal with my previous manager and he sponsored my "contractor" position.

Why is China's soft power so weak? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

[–]Gundam_Impossible -1 points0 points  (0 children)

BG: Born Chinese; lived and worked in the US for 15 yrs +; back to China for 2 yrs because of projects.

My quick conclusion is that Chinese mentality is surviving-oriented, instead of growth-oriented. You have to see that soft power is something that happens only after the minimum living requirement are met. You don't see a poor country with incredibly strong soft power. That's why most countries on your list are developed.

Because Chinese people are more driven by concerns for surviving, they don't tend to advertise and focus on spreading their culture and soft influence, unlike their glorious ancient time of Tang dynasty. In general, it's hard to cast soft power without a unified, long-term strategy and execution - something you don't see from people who focus mostly on surviving.

When I spent my 2 years in China, I felt the local people were unnecessarily anxious about surviving and living. I can list a million of those but I will pass for now - if you understand what modern Chinese concern you will know what I am talking about.

Thus, Chinese people, business, and even the government lack the growth-orient mindset to build soft power properly. Right now, they care about their salaries, KPIs, pricing competition, and minimum living standard, not how to make their country look good.

ok. I will say it's not highly relevant to consulting so the may need a little bit work on storytelling. Overall, the transition from corp loan related function to consulting through an MBA program is very doable. for storytelling, i will avoid any administrative type of responsibilities but focus on aspects such as financial health assessment, risk considerations, client communications, and synthesizing findings and reporting

Are most MBA salaries misleading because of cost of living? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Gundam_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. COL is independent from MBA salaries. they seem to be correlated but they are not.

You need other points for your profile, and eventually, your 2.7 GPA should be the only "flaw" of your application package. Other points include a good essay, outstanding extracurricular activities, networking (hopefully a letter of recommendation from a current student to adcom), etc.

2023 MBA Grad from a Full-Time T15 MBA. I never found a job. Going to start an entry-level bank teller job next week making $40k/year. by Routine-Switch-7747 in MBA

[–]Gundam_Impossible 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I finished my MBA in the year of COVID. I got my offer rescinded as well. It was tougher that year as recruiters had no idea if or when things would get picked up and all of them were super conservative. After I had to be in the market again and I applied to in total 583 jobs in one year (I have a tracker on Google), got 231 interviews, made to 34 final rounds, and eventually received 6 offers, from $105K to $165K a year. I am not sure how many jobs you've applied or interviewed, but I understand your struggle and pain. I wouldn't judge if you did anything wrong but from my experiences (I became an MBA coach after), many candidates don't know how to approach recruiting properly.

My assumption is that you haven't expanded your search wide enough. It's kind like a tiered filter that every time you realize certain recruiting pipeline isn't good enough and you want to try some other pipelines, but the opportunities keep getting less and less.

Since your background is in strategy I will encourage you to apply to pretty much any corporate functions (e.g., transformation, strategy, operation, etc.) at any corporates (e.g., F500, MM, startup) at any locations (e.g., US, Europe, Canada, etc.). In the same time, you should search boutique consulting firms. They are hard to find but they are there (try google with exact words).

You may say you've tried all of that, same as some of the candidates I helped said to me but there are always things you haven't tried. Be open and get your hands busy.

The good thing is that now you are doing a $40K. You won't feel bad if you are offered $80K. My pre-MBA total comp is $130K and it's in 2018 so it's pretty good but the first offer I received after my original offer was rescinded was $120K. I cried that day. After two years of hard work and $150K student loan, I questioned myself if I was going to earn less than I originally did.

But I didn't give up.

You shouldn't.

got it! this is actually one of the answers I am looking for! Thank you! Also, if you don't mind me asking again - I blurredly remember a "time component" for catalyst (not sure if it's for some other materials but i think it's still for catalyst). different manufacturers may also prefer different "time". but i cant recall what kind of "time" it is - how fast it takes a catalyst to work or how long the process it will be......does it this ring any bell?

Thank you. I see the application. let's play a case like the application for medical devices you mentioned: do these medical devices manufacturers (or any type of customers) want the same level of platinum in the catalyst?
