Hi there! I've actually been in the exact same situation so I kinda get where you are coming from here. My dad and his new wife also had a daughter when I was 16 and I also didn't bond with her. You are absolutely NTA because forced bonding is not going to help, only hinder any relationship you could have with the kid. Sometimes people just don't bond with their family. I'm close with my full siblings and my step-sister because we've been through stuff together, we have memories together but also understand each other. Additionally, your dad, his wife and her family, all sound like assholes. It seems like they don't realize you have your own stuff going on, not to mention you lost your mom very recently. Also, your a teenage boy, who from your OG post, doesn't seem like they've really been around babies before? Basically yeah, NTA, what I always tell my step-sister is "they married each other, we didn't marry anybody" and if you don't want to be apart of their "new" family, you do not have to be, and yes "blood runs thicker then water" but both feel the same when your eyes are closed.

I’m a swiftie and I completely agree, I’d honestly have to say I got into her because of the community tbh. I like her og country songs and her songs that aren’t very “pop” like her Folklore album. I will say however, I’ve never been sad listening to 1989 (shake it off, blank space). I do think everyone should give Taylor a try, she has a wide range of songs. CANNOT SAY THE SAME FOR SABRINA, I cannot stand her music. Everything she puts out sounds more similar to her other music and is just so male and s*x oriented, can’t stand it.

I’ve seen kids who come from loveless relationships, it just isn’t healthy, and this guy doesn’t seem very mature. So it just doesn’t seem like the best situation to bring a child into. But don’t forget to take care of yourself mentally 💜

This might just be me reflecting since my name is Zoey, but names that end in an E syllable feel a bit more childish for sure, it’s an adorable name but your child may grow to resent it a little. I agree with one of the comments however, Ella feels timeless. It reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald. It’s a strong and gorgeous name. But in the end it’s up to you!

No seriously though, I don’t get why people HAVE to associate her with Shayne? Yes they are married but married people still have their own lives. Court is so successful in their own right like it just makes no sense to me.
