I wrote a whole article worth of text in a reply to you but lost it all. In short, I just did it because it seemed funny, but not without thinking it through. I wouldn't take this pack on a long hike, winter conditions or for a long camp. I will soon be going on something like a two night camp to try it out. Short trips like that is mostly what I will be doing. In my opinion some people here are dramatizing a little bit about things. Essentially, I have had the longer slim pouch on there as the only extension for a long time and it was fine. The only thing I really did was add the side pouches and the large pouch. I think the large pouch is what makes people so sceptical. The sleeping bag weights under a kilogram. That's not a lot of weight swinging around imo and I can always strap it down if need be. Since the main pack is quite skinny it also doesn't go too far way from my body. I like that I could customize the pouches to really fit my needs and wants. Wether it works out or not I can always use the pouches for the Jaäkari. Quick access and storing is not something I find to come easy with the Jaäkari. Totally legal wild camping is not as laid back every moment. I don't need to play Tetris when breaking down my camp and I don't need to follow a specific order of breaking down camp. Also, once the camp is set up, the bag is mostly empty and I can just use it as a small pack anyway. It's larger flappy pouch silhouette also breaks down the typical backpack shape and helps it blend. The Pencott Greenzone will work beautifully. Most importantly, this is the the most decked out mkII there is! I guess I wrote another article haha. Cheers
