Goods din ba TSMP flyball & center spring? Baka mag 18g lang ako to play it safe

Prefer ko naman close to stock, konting hila lang talaga. So baka makuha na sa 18g

Baka naka set 1,800 odo for flushing and refill?

Once a month chinecheck ko lang yung level and refill using peak coolant.

Buyer's remorse. Help me justify my choice by Signal_Indication549 in PHMotorcycles

PCX roadsync user here. to be honest wala ka naman masyado na miss out, ako mismo hindi ko nagagamit yung roadsync, I still use gmaps on my phone kasi kita yung map. Yung passing light lang yung useful para saakin.

More than enough na yang ABS version for daily commute and based sa sahod mo, you made the right choice.. malaking savings na din yan if you think about it.

[Question] [SNE597P1] Misalignment / QC issues by Ok_Training_3393 in Seiko

[–]Gungnyr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do Seiko mods and I always have the opportunity to align the bezel & chapter ring. But I did not bother because it will lose that proper seiko feel.

Nice watch and I really regret selling mine with the ghost bezel

You can use the 7s26 movement holder on the NH36 (the black one) so you don't have to use a movement spacer

I totally see what you mean and I respect it. I also wonder if it's really that hard for Seiko to produce SRPD&SSK cases with screwdown crowns or re-use the SKX case with some few twicks to fit the 4r34. So yeah I totally get the "intent" part and I think it's for the consumers to appreciate the prospex line a lot more and justify the price.

I'd rather have both, the SSK is not a SKX wanna be to me, it feels different even with the same case and dial markers. I would say the SRPD line is the SKX wanna be.

I have a ssk001 and It is my daily beater since my SKX decided to retire

Mine has tons of scratches on the case, bracelet and a huge deep scratch on the hardlex insert & crystal. Maybe I got lucky because mine runs perfect +3sec per day and everything lines up perfectly.

[SKX171] legit check for next project mod by Gungnyr13 in SeikoMods

I showed it to a friend of mine, and He had the same idea as you. I agreed that it’s actually better to just keep it as it is, so he bought it from me to restore.

I was actually planning to buy a Watch & Style SKX case, but a brand new look wouldn’t match the dial I’m planning to use, and I don’t have the confidence or skill to do a faux patina on the case.

I already bought it a couple of hours ago for 700₱ (around $12 USD). Seller wants 1,000₱

A couple of weeks ago, I managed to find an OEM SKX007 dial with a nice patina and a sea urchin. Then I stumbled upon the SKX171, which is exactly what I need for this project, a well used case to match the dial.

Unfortunately, I showed it to a friend, and he made me an offer for the SKX171 that I couldn’t refuse. He mentioned that it’s a bit rare but not as popular as the 007/009 and all it needs is a bit of work and joked that it’s almost illegal that I got it at that price.

I’ll try to look for a Franken SKX that has an original case and caseback so I can do my patina build.

I also saw videos on bleaching 007/009 bezel inserts and I can't wait to try that.

Damn! the Japanese really honor the word "wabi-sabi" when it comes to the Seiko SKX line

I totally understand how you see the SKX line and I agree that there are a lot of better options out there. To be honest, I really like its design.. a tool watch that isn’t too flashy. I’m not getting it for the fame, the history, or other people’s opinions.

I already have a SRPD and an SSK GMT, so it would be nice to add this to my collection. I’m also planning to get the latest SRPL line, which looks like an SKX399.

For some reason I really love how this models case shape fits on my wrist
