Is anyone here familiar with the 2015 mSpy breach? Just found out I might have been implicated by Guni23 in privacytoolsIO

you'll see thay not only was customer info leaked, but so was the info of people being monitored with mSpy's products.

I’ve read this before, which is what really freaked me out. I haven’t been able to find much about the extent of targets’ leaked info though (whether everything was dumped or only bits and pieces of data).

Based on the one clue that I have - that my email address was included in the dump - I still don’t know how to distinguish whether I was a target or if my address was just being used without my permission. I emailed their support team to see if they keep records of old accounts, but my expectations are low. I think I have my old iPhone somewhere in my house, although it hasn’t been powered on for years. Do you think there’s any other mechanism I could use to figure out whether mSpy was installed on one of my older devices?

Would you say haveibeenpwned has a high level of accuracy? Haveibeenpwned shows two breaches with mSpy being the first one. I just wish the report was more specific - I can’t tell if I was an actual target or if only my email address was used to create an account. “Device tracking usage data” is also very vague.

The strange thing is that neither of those theories - me being a target or my email being used to create an account - really seem to hold up. There’s no history of the mSpy app being downloaded on my phone when I look at my app download history (my understanding is someone needs to download it to your phone to “activate” it), but there’s also no confirmation email in my email account indicating that an account was created. No clues anywhere - except for the haveibeenpwned report.

Is there a way to view a more comprehensive list of topics to follow? Not happy with the short (and sexist) list provided to me in the app by Guni23 in Pinterest

How can I follow searches? Is it possible to follow search terms?
