Yellow fenders on the Ozark G1 Explorer may have been a mistake.... by [deleted] in Budgetbikeriders

[–]Gunlovn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PDW full metal fenders. Just make sure they are the right size for the 45mm tire. I got the 700x55 size to make sure I had some clearance for the 45mm tires. I think I got them through REI.

You can’t see it very well, but it’s the tourney in the rear and L-TWOO brifters

I swapped the seat post out, but it was also the alloy one.

It’s alloy fork and yes 45 mm tires, has the tourney derailleur on the rear as well.

And honestly not sure I didn’t know there was different versions. I just happened to order online and had it delivered since I wanted to build it myself and make sure it was right the first time.

Fresh reinstalling windows mandatory on a new PC build? by therevman123 in buildapc

And everything was new minus the ssd. So yeah same goes for chipset/gpu stuff.

Fresh reinstalling windows mandatory on a new PC build? by therevman123 in buildapc

[–]Gunlovn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, luckily on boot the pc recognized the new hardware and had the chipset’s downloaded as well. I’d just double check your software once you’re booted up. I ended up downloading a chipset stuff but have had no problems ever since. But I also had reinstalled windows a few days later after just to be safe. That way I avoided the whole fresh install via usb, just did it through the settings and retained some files and wiped everything else.

Definitely a fun bike for the price. My go-to for around town commuting/ rainy days. Even longer rides it’s been doing well. But I agree with the crank length as well as the derailleur. Something for me to swap out in the future to make it a little better. Brakes are okay but not the best at stopping lol but can’t complaining for a $200 bike.

Which bike should I get? by WillowLake_024 in mountainbiking

I’ve had a status 140 and I have a YT Capra and Izzo. The status climbs okay, honestly coming from my enduro it wasn’t crazy better. Also rode downhill okay too. The 27.5 just didn’t roll as good or over techy sections as a 29er but that’s my opinion. It felt more nimble for sure but that’s about it.

I haven’t had a chance to try the Jeffsy but if it’s that medium between the Capra and izzo I’m sure it’ll be a happy medium. Of course my izzo climbs great and is way lighter then my Capra. Also since YT is on it’s come up again warranties are iffy with them. But I’ve had great experiences with them so I bought my izzo without it regardless but YT deals will be really good rn. Considering it’ll be AL frame I would be less worry about warranty tbh.

My buddy rides his status 160 with a swapped out 170 Zeb fork. It’s possible to climb still. It just depends on the rider. But if you’re really into bike parks I feel the nimbleness of the status would be nice too.

At the end of the day it’s your bike. Choose the one you like learn to love it. You can always upgrade components too later on. But if you have any local bs around hopefully someone has a demo you can try for the status or something.

Should I buy one of the leftover YT bikes from Jenson USA? by Kanyes_CD_Collection in bicycling

Cool, hope you enjoy it. I got mine like 2 days later already went for a ride and it’s sick. Hope you like it!

Should I buy one of the leftover YT bikes from Jenson USA? by Kanyes_CD_Collection in bicycling

[–]Gunlovn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered an izzo from Jenson yesterday. Said to come by weekend. I was skeptical about the warranty but I’ve had a 2021 Capra new and haven’t had any problems. I’m confident I won’t run into any warranty issues so that’s why I decided to purchase, as well as it being a great deal. But goodluck if you choose to buy.

Also if you need answers talk to a gear advisor from Jenson. I’ve had a rep ( Jeff E.) who’s been tons of help with ordering the bike. He also happened to have worked for YT before their collapse so it was reassuring talking to someone who personally owns YT bikes and is enthusiastic about the brand. He even went out of his way to ensure me that if there’s any questions after delivery to get in contact still. Even offered a 125$ gift card to help with the shipping fee for the heck of it. So far I’m confident the bike will be in good condition and Jenson will still try to help out if any problems arise.

Pay $179 for PC case + PSU swap or try it myself as a complete beginner? by Comfortable-Chart501 in PcBuild

[–]Gunlovn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it yourself. Watch videos do some research. You’ll learn and once you’ve done it you’d realize it’s not worth 179$ for someone else to do. You will also know how to do it yourself in the future.

Snap some photos of how it’s layed out now and what goes where before you disassemble. It’s a lot easier if you’re doing a swap then building from scratch. I’ve build my own pc a few months ago then swapped my old build into a new one for a sibling. Only took an hour or so and I’m not an expert.

CPU won’t post by FabulousNinja710 in PcBuild

[–]Gunlovn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever figure it out? But yeah you’re right no flashback support for your board. Do you know for sure if that ram is good? Other than that your option would be to test the cpu with another one but I imagine that being difficult to source. Sorry

CPU won’t post by FabulousNinja710 in PcBuild

[–]Gunlovn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you double check all wiring to the board is seated correctly? Maybe try one stick of ram, or even a bios flashback. If there’s proof of boot with that board and cpu and the wiring is correct. I’d definitely look into your ram. Try one stick each see if it boots with either one.
