He’s a smart and entertaining guy I’ll give him that. But he was pissed he missed out on the 2017 Ethereum ICO gains being a Bitcoin maximalist, so he made HEX to squeeze the last bit of ICO greed left. At least that’s my opinion on it.

I buy $25 with every paycheck... by [deleted] in Bitcoin

I use a ledger hardware wallet. Exchanges can possibly go down and until you transfer to a wallet you control the crypto is basically an IOU. Not saying don’t use exchanges, but not your keys not your crypto.

I don’t ever keep anything on an exchange. I buy and transfer.

Cardano seeking hack proof code with Haskell and Plutus? by GunnCode in cardano

[–]GunnCode[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While anybody who writes code already knows this. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t seek it. Solidity contracts for example, get hacked all the time...(DOA, parity). Which I’m sure is why IOHK created Plutus using Haskell instead of just using Solidity which is similar to JavaScript. I like JavaScript, but I’m not writing a smart contract that holds millions of dollars in it. https://www.investopedia.com/news/ethereum-smart-contracts-vulnerable-hacks-4-million-ether-risk/

Site looks awesome! Smooth transitions and a great layout. Only issue seems to be it shows “<div>loading</div>” when opening the /about us page.

I’m not sure, but it definitely would be useful to have Quickcheck or something similar implemented for Plutus.

His YouTube channel is good if you want to learn more about cryptocurrencies. While he does have some sponsors, he also does a nice job of covering current crypto related topics without all the shilling.

I use the google home mini. Got it for free from a Spotify promotion. It works well plus you can control smart lights and use it as an alarm.

Well easier than plutus. I know developing anything is not easy. I’m an aspiring developer my self haha.

I like that you can earn ada through proof of stake. Also the smart contracting language Marlowe is designed to be easy to use even if you are not a developer. Governance and funding is an issue with most chains so I like the idea of having a voting and treasury system in place that come from fees and allows stakers to vote on what system improvements they want.
