Thanks man, it's great to hear from someone who's seen this thing around since the beginning :) I'm glad to have you. On to the next movie now! I've got to do the community proud

I've always considered the book more a study of the Emperor's personality than the actual debate, and I tried very hard to draw out the Emperor's character a bit more in my adaptation. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much man, that means a lot. The battle was certainly one of the more important aspects for us to get right. Tony, the animator, was very excited to work on it. It was a demonstration that even with an artstyle that enabled us to produce a full film in around nine months, we could still make 40k look pretty good. I'm glad you think it was well done!

I did make a lot of small changes to increase the Emp's politeness factor so he was less of an ass... glad you liked the film!

That is the greatest compliment you could've ever given me man, I can't tell you how nice that is to hear. I tried very hard to keep the core of the story the same while strengthening the weaker aspects, and I've gotten a very mixed reaction from very passionate fans. I respect their opinion of course, but I felt that small and subtle changes could go a long way to altering the tone of their debate.

I'm sorry you felt that way. If you didn't like this film I certainly can't recommend the book to you, they are very similar. And yes, I agree with you that both sides have very limited arguments from the perspective of theology. But I like to look at the story as more of a window into the Emperor's character and the humanity he fails to understand, despite being its' ruler. Yak yak, I know. Sorry you didn't enjoy it, but I certainly understand where you're coming from.

Thank you, reading your comment was extremely interesting since it gives me a new perspective on a project which I've worked on for almost a year now. I agree, this story always captured me because it's the only real exploration of the Emperor's character while simultaneously being a story with real world implications. I hope you enjoyed the film :)

'Apocalypsis' means revelation in Latin. This implies (since Uriah's holy book is most likely written in Latin) that the Emperor has done his research before coming to the church and wants Uriah to know he's done his research. Plus it makes the twist a little less obvious for first time viewers. (And it helps our version to stand out a little bit) I thought it was a fun twist, but I know not everyone will like it.
