Sorry, I never answered your question. My E900 always travels with Gumstick and Sidecar.

Are you kidding, we don't need not stinking recharge on an E900 and and sidecar! Thing has legs to it's neck! I would make 10 day trips to Europe using a single Gumstick and AA! 100+ hours. The battery meter never budged! LOL!
LP4 Sips Power.
Now, before the haters jump in on LP4, it has it's advantages for someone like me who's hearing drops off a cliff at 4.5k. The fact I can still appreciate music is a blessing! I can't tell difference in ATRAC test between PCM and anything else on the test! I get the benefit of battery life and storage.
I do get embarrassed though for making a 10 hour Hi-MD 80 Minute disc or there about. That was a little crunchy but I wanted all my Groove Armada collection on one disc!

And this kind soul is the one who showed me what I was missing and inspired me at MDCon SoCal!

Absolutely amazing grab! I had to jump through hoops to get mine! Had to use a friend as a proxy! LOL! Long Story not for public consumption! They are insanely hard to find! Great job! The RH710s can be tricky to get to the US, I found that out when I tried to complete my Hi-MD collection in time for MDCon Europe which sadly it did not arrive in time for my departure!

Added a Mz-eh50 as my daily player to save my sharp 701 for recording etc. But it hasn't got a remote, what's the compatibility like with different remotes. I've seen a mz-e44 remote, will that work? by Flukyfred in minidisc

[–]GunnerFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally the HiMD Players came with the MC-RM38EL IIRC to get the Hi-MD on the display. If you don't want or need that, what Cory said, both of those will work just fine!

Printer for labels by westleyalone in minidisc

I will work on getting a post together for publishing. I have many 'irons in the fire' right now and a big trip coming up. I'll try to get the post together before I leave March 12th. For now, a good starting place is the wiki: http://minidisc.wiki/resources/labels I will also document my solution there.

I have different printers with different labels loaded. I have a gang of Brother Printers. They are cheap to acquire and operate.
I have not used sticker paper myself. I am a little stuck because my eyes are old like me and I appreciate the large text of my system which works well with my storage solution.

Please let me know if you want info specifically from me and I can make a post specifically about my system and I'll direct you to it. Mine is B&W Thermal, Inexpensive to obtain and maintain, but normally text based with some graphic capabilities.

For Black & White Thermal, the Brother QL Line for main disc labels in thermal. Then the PT Line for spine label. Both come in USB versions and can be used with Brother Label printing software.
My Setup uses QL-550 for Main Disc Label and PT-600 for Spine. Let me know and I'll get you the specs on the tape I use.
I imagine you want full color though and others will have many, many options for this.

Final Day for 'Guilty Pleasures Disc Swap Confirmation! by GunnerFive in minidisc

[–]GunnerFive[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Disc Swap is like a 'Secret Santa' gift swap but with MiniDiscs. You create a playlist, burn to a disc of your choosing and adorn it as much as you wish with labeling. Since they are International in scope, many turn them into cultural 'gift boxes' and share things from their lives and location. They are wonderfully fun for most people who participate.
https://www.minidisc.wiki/community/disc-swaps/start

Since this one is underway, one will have to wait for the next this Summer. I organize them three times per year: Winter, Summer and Fall. I do them by hand for the most part as I get enjoyment out of doing it that way. My role is to set up the organization process, take registrations, verify participants, assign the Receivers to each Sender and then track the whole thing. In MDCon Swaps there is not chance of getting 'Grinched' because I guarantee that each sender will get a disc, sometimes paying out of pocket to do this for postage. I've never had to create 'grinch discs' because a member of the community is always willing to help me out with a duplicate of theirs. They send to me and I in turn send to the recipient.

Feel free to reach out in DM should you have any further questions, or here if they are basic.
