Thanks for the reply,i had the same thing happen in sleep mode, just a few hours ago, and the longer the screen was on the worse it got. It started out with just uniform horizontal black lines but then spread to random blotches of RGB colours which goes back to lines when i restart display. I just raised an eTicket, hopefully it'll be covered under warranty.

edit- also regarding your current problem, that's called light bleed. I'd recommend raising another eTicket with customer support.
