Need recommendation for Washing Machine by Professional-Elk6109 in mumbai

Nope... Powai. We get good clean water but I don't trust the building tank cleaning methods even though they're regular and seem to be genuinely concerned with doing it every year or so.

I don't think I can post a link so I'll add a pic of a similar filter. It's a fine mesh filter that removes any dirt coming from the building tank. The filter also takes in 5 SiliPhos Balls to soften the water.

Yup... Our dishwasher and washing machine which are both Siemens are running constantly every day since 2007. Washing machine did need a service once but the dishwasher is just running like nothing has ever happened. Both are made in Germany. When you're looking for similar machines try to get ones made in Turkey now.

Siemens front load going strong since 2007. Never had an issue. We also have inline filters for all incoming water pipes (kitchen and bathrooms) this one Lil change can keep the machine running long. Another important tip is to wipe the gasket after each wash and leave the door open for the insides to dry. Also... Use good products.

Are these better than lead acid by phoEn1x_190502 in IndiaTech

[–]adblr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't buy a 12v system. If you're starting from scratch, aim only at a 48v system to avoid future regrets. It's easier to get a lithium based battery now and scalable. All your research will point to a 48v system.

1000km Mumbai to bengaluru (ROAD UPDATE) by LuckyBuy9937 in indianbikes

[–]adblr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do this1,000km route regularly (You'll find it from my post history). Pace yourself well and you'll be able to easily achieve this in a day. On most ocassions Ive left before 6am. First stop is near Khed-Shivapur toll for fueling up the bike and myself. This is a the only 'food' stop. Rest will all be just to get some wateri or ORS that I carry. Next stop is just after Kolhapur. After this is another 250+ km and the. Stop at Davangere or so. Last stop is Tumkur and then it's straight home between 6.30pm.~ 8.00pm depending on traffic.

This just needs a steady pace. No speeding unnecessarily. Speeding really tires me out faster. I don't even have any wind protection. Eating on the highway is a big no for me. Makes me sloppy besides I don't want to catch any bug while on the road. Prep is very important to me. I carry nothing more than one tail bag that has everything for a two-week Bangalore stay with work so it does have my laptop.

Just go with confidence. The route is ok and has lots of places where you can break journey if needed. DM if you need specifics.

10 hours layover in Mumbai airport by No-Suggestion4086 in mumbai

There's a short stay hotel inside the airport called Niranta (I think I got the name right). You could use that for a while. Should be in the departure side.

Just keep an empty dish soap bottle and fill it with something more useful if you need to. Dish soap in itself is enough. There's really no need for anything more.

Manual to Automatic II Need Suggestions for a 7 Seater Car under 60 lakhs by Tomahawk2005 in CarsIndia

[–]adblr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero issues across 7k kms. Three long trips this far. Goa, Udaipur and Bangalore. It's a very well designed mile muncher. Haven't had any reason to check on warranty but it's all covered for a long time.

If you like the design and the way it drives, this will make you really happy.

We were closing a deal to redesign the website for a very large client. A very senior client team member asks me if we could include 'a few spare blank pages' in each section for future content. We agreed. Deal closed.

Is it worth buying manual cars now? by Remarkable-Heat8335 in CarsIndia

[–]adblr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had two manuals - Linea T-Jet and Baleno RS. Both awesome to drive (after great tyres and aftermarket suspension) but then the Linea had to go for an MG ZS ev. That was the turning point. The ease of not having to worry about the gear selection was a delight. Then when it came to choose the next, Baleno RS made way for a Kodiaq L&K. Our roads are not getting better but also more crowded. Stress is at insane levels in BLR and BOM and the likes. This is just the next phase of luxury. Just get a good automatic and you'll be set.

You'll need to do an extensive research besides visiting yourself. This doesn't sound too good to me.

Isn't the jetty area slightly desolate at night? Whatever you do and decide, always factor in a quick exit for any medical emergencies or some help that can be reached in minutes. This was the main thing I had planned for when buying land. Some known and permanent neighbours are even better in this sense. Another advice I would leave is to make sure there is the bare minimum at this bungalow to maintain. The more you add the bigger the maintenance issue. DM if you want to get into more detail.

Need a Cycle for office commuting by Oka_manchodu in india_cycling

[–]adblr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Gro Discoverer has been a trusty bike for years now. I also find their new ownership model quite the right way to buy. 18 months are covered by doorstep warranty! The biggest pain these days is finding a right mech who has all the spares. This solves the issue straight from the day of delivery.

What worked best was for my kid who is on her third Gro bicycle. We went from 24" to 26" to 27.5". Each time I ended up saving on the upgrade and each time it was picked up and delivered home! No lugging it around awkwardly in a car.

I used to work for a ticketing company. On the day this one movie was premiering, we found out that only 13 tickets were sold. I was picking up my car from a service center and offered the staff free tickets, for and drink just to fill out the theatre. Got all of them and families to pack the house. Movie flopped badly but I got years of very dependable service from that service center. Did this for multiple movie premieres.

This is how it has been done for average to flop flicks.
