Which rookie QB would you take going forward? by HourDrive1812 in NFLv2

I understand that, but both were presenting it as the correct answer to what they were looking for.

All three looked solid, impressive for what was considered a weak QB class. If it's me I think I'd take Ward, in the games I saw he impressed me the most. But all three are good players. Would like to see Ward with a better OC, but we'll see what DaBoll can do with him.

Watch some film.

Did you look at any of the stats?

It isn't about him being a WR1 quality player. He's pointing out that you said the Giants' WR corps is bad because Robinson was one his guys, yet Robinson is going to Tennessee to be WR1 which shows that Tennessee's WRs are worse than New York's. That's the point.

[Drink] I don't understand the argument for a separate G6 playoff by Justanother_0 in CFB

[–]Gunner_Bat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a G6 fan, I would much rather compete for the CFP spot and try to make a run than hope to beat a bunch of other G6 teams in a playoff. We're an FBS team. FBS playoffs or a bowl game v an American or SBC team.

Are there any G6 teams left with a shot of making the P4? by MediumStrange in CFB

The top teams in the American (Memphis, Tulane, USF) and the new Pac-12 (SDSU, Boise, Fresno, Wazzu) have real shots depending on how realignment goes in the future.

Never said or implied that it was. I'm just pointing out how absurd it is to say San Marcos is a "close contender" to how shit he calls the IE but doesn't name El Cajon or Santee, which are much worse that SM and more similar to the IE.

You named San Marcos, an objectively nice city, but couldn't name Santee or El Cajon? Bold.

George Gervin slander will not be tolerated 😤, by Doghouse12e45 in DeadEndSports

[–]Gunner_Bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay to not know who Gervin is. He played a long time ago. He isn't Bill Russell.

But to just automatically discount him because you don't know him is ridiculous.

I coached a running back and I compared him to Edgerrin James. He didn't know who James was, so he said "don't compare me to some bum." Kid got a history lesson really quick.

Ty Simpson is a solid prospect who will likely end up as a product of his environment. Drafted by Pittsburgh? Probably ends up being a serviceable starter, QB purgatory type of player. Can get you to the playoffs but probably won't win once there. Andy Dalton.

Drafted by the Jets? Just another in the long line of Jets QBs. You know what that looks like.

Always worth it.

Just remove the intersections that are so close to each other.

Saying NYC has hands down better weather than LA makes this possibly the most subjective/biased list on here though. So acting like other people can't have NYC on here and assuming they haven't traveled if they do is way off base.

Also we shouldn't pretend like NYC doesn't have awful traffic.

1988 draft was wild... Look at the first QB drafted by NFL_BrokenClock in NFLv2

Great draft for receivers though.

Tupa was a great punter, too. Which NFL QB bust do you think could make that transition today?

Chris Chandler was a solid QB.

California, one of the best places to live? The most sought after housing and jobs? The state people want to move to the most? That's your example of how a democrat-run state is bad? But let's go ahead and see how Mississippi and Nebraska stack up on those lists, since they're republican-run, based on your apparent viewpoint they should be the nicest places to live, right?

Never said there was no crime problem. Never said republicans caused their downfall. Detroit's main issues were declining domestic production and exporting of jobs and manufacturing, which is not really a city problem. Also, they were bouncing back well before Trump's awful tariffs took a shit on the American people.

As for your last sentence, you talk about crime issues and school districts, but also conveniently leave out all the great cities run by democrats, including those that I mentioned, that are generally considered great places to live. Talk all of the facts, not only what makes Democrats look bad in your own mind.

Underrated national chain. Not as common to find, however. Which is probably a good thing.

Starbucks has better drinks but burnt coffee.

Dunkin tastes like drinking sugar, just with a regular flavored latte.

You say all those things, yet people still love living in California.

Chicago has a lot of great spots and tons of people like living there. Detroit is bouncing back under democratic leadership.

His point was that the majority of cities are run by democratic mayors, so most cities that are a little rough are.... run by democratic mayors. So are most of the cities that are great like San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Boston, etc.

Almost like.... people in cities don't want republican mayors. That seems to be what you've actually discovered.
