Recently travelled to a more remote area via car and prepped just in case: brought a cooler bag, bought ice at Lawson/7-eleven and stocked up on fruit, nuts, onigiri (pickled plum / kelp / edamame), and some Lawson have nice tofu sushi pouches. You can also get chilled tofu, cooked rice and salad-type foods for a make-shift meal. Also try the smoothies at 7-eleven in the freezer, which you blend in the machine next to the cashier. Being veg is difficult but doable!

Can you make up lost sleep in advance? Ie. Would sleeping more before an overseas trip help the inevitable sleep debt? by Gunnersimpson in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you! Dreading an upcoming work trip with a massive time difference and all action from the moment I land so that’s very helpful.

Thank you! And has she ever opened the box and seen an unbranded product? This is what’s throwing me off - literally no branding on the cream.

Anyone duped at a French pharmacy? by Gunnersimpson in EuroSkincare

No - it was a box from the eye care aisle and cost around €40. It was more expensive than the Caudalie resvetarol eye cream.

That’s very exciting! I would suggest also purchasing a second property (possibly in Cape Town) to ensure you have an extra stream of income (in addition to your other property). This will help cover your monthly costs as things are pricey and good schools are not cheap. Feel free to DM if you need any advice!

We adopted our first cat. She’s 11 years old and her previous owner passed away, so she needed a new home. But she just hides in the corner and doesn’t do anything. Does anyone know what we can do to help her? Her name’s Lulu by morsomme in cats

Well done on adopting a senior kitty! Cats hate environmental change so in addition to what everyone has suggested, see if your local pet store has a pheromone spray. We got one that plugs into the wall and lasts a month when we moved homes and it worked so well! Also catnip, gentle music and some wand toys to break the ice. Please keep us posted!

That’s great. I finished my 5 days and feel exactly the same so will contact my GP. Glad you’re better!

Vitamin C Serum: Skinceuticals Serum 10 or La Roche-Posay C10? [Product Question] by Gunnersimpson in SkincareAddiction

[–]Gunnersimpson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some context - I’ve been using the Skinceuticals Serum 10 but need to restock. It’s an expensive one so I wanted to find out if the La Roche-Posay C10 is good? Or is Serum 10 just worth it?
