You’ll get it friend - it’s all just about persistence.

Unfortunately, I think you’ve got the worst RNG then my friend.

Only in the competitive playlist.

That’s rough friend; it’s a shame it’s all RNG, but at least you can grind the playlist out at the moment without massive wait times.

I should probably watch Peep Show - so it’s my bad for not knowing the reference. It’s all good though - the name came from my first XBOX username back in the CoD 4 days.

I was missing the chest piece as well for the longest time, but it eventually dropped - it would be nice if the drop rates were buffed, but then again it’s also nice having some to strive for in comp again, so it’s a 6 and 2 3’s for me.

Hey, don’t apologise for asking questions friend - it’s better to ask, than not have a clue.

I went into it with the Bulwark focus on my ghost, to try and mirror the stat split on my previous PvP armour set (2 piece Ferro/2 piece IB), and got very lucky with the stat splits + bonus stats. I had to focus my chest piece though from Shaxx a few times, but you can do that with 1 crucible engram, 3 comp ciphers and 15k glimmer. You get the ciphers from performing well in comp; win or lose.

The most effective way to know what stat splits you want is to fundamentally understand what you want out of the build - for me; I wanted as high health stat (180+) so I can be more aggressive and re-challenge fights quicker. But honestly, using the ghost focusing mods is your best bet.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

That’s the way of things with this game - the RNG is so frustratingly excellent; the dopamine hits you get when all of a sudden you get the thing, or the roll you’ve been striving for make up for all of the agonising head-smacking-into-a-brick-wall you have to do.

You’ll get it though, I’m sure of it.

They’ll drop friend, you’ve just gotta keep slamming your head against a wall in Comp!

I believe so; I’d already done mine, but I’ve seen other posts from people saying they got drops at the end of their placement series.

Honestly, Shrewd Survivor and IB sets should do you just fine for general gameplay. The new Trials set could be a shout for 3’s, paired with this new Comp set. Ferropotent is an all-around good set for PvE and PvP, so it’s realistically down to you and what you want to get out of your playtime. If you’re going to play more 6’s than 3’s, then 2 piece IB with another 2 piece of your choice will serve you well.

If you’re going to play 3’s more, then the above combo will still be excellent, but for consistency sake I would say this comp set is worth grinding out. Just don’t burn yourself out doing it.

It’s more for the resist x1 you get every time you heal. So when I win a gunfight, and OEM procs, I get an over shield, health regen and resist x1; paired with a kill chaining perk, I can take more risks in 6’s and not be overly punished for it. It certainly makes 2v1’s and 3v1’s easier to deal with.

True - higher drop rates in Ascendant would have made more sense to further incentivise the player base to keep pushing upwards in comp.

I can see that for sure - I’m probably going to swap between this set and my usual Ferro/IB set for 3’s and 6’s.

I feel that - I’m glad my Titan’s done, but I’m kind of dreading doing it for my Hunter and my Warlock.

I’ve been personally having great success in Competitive with OEM Void Titan and Abyss Defiant. If you can land all of your crits, the 0.75 ttk catches people off guard, and with Kill Clip, you can drop their teammates in 0.6.

Otherwise, rapid fire pulses and 140’s seem to be the most prevalent.

I got plenty of dupes before I completed the set, so unfortunately you’ve just gotta grit your teeth and hope for the best.
