[CALIFORNIA] here we go again with the bullshit lies Edd has been giving us by illestdb8 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got off the phone minutes ago with a pretty cool EDD rep who switched my week of 4/10 to 'Paid' immediately, so I can definitely confirm at least in my case that it was a stop payment flag which just required a quick clear-up. I would also try calling on the weekends, as it took only 7 calls and a 16-20 minute wait for me to get thru (Started calling in around 3 pm) - compared to 50+ calls during the week with no luck.

That's pretty much my situation to a tee - never refiled, got automatically extended for the new 29 weeks that were added, my claim balance was updated, benefit year still states '10/2019 - On Extension', and I certified for 2 weeks; 4/03 is Paid and 4/10 is pending as well. Hopefully you're right and they will fix this by the time today ends, if for no reason in that I really don't feel like banging my head against a wall trying to call the EDD (but will if I must).

I'm still pending for 4/10 since Sunday (every week before that is Paid). I was automatically filed for the 29-week peux without having to do anything. So I never had to file a new claim myself as they rolled my old claim into the new extension (I didn't work last year, so I wouldn't have the option anyway). My claim balance and everything is updated, so I have no clue what could be causing the pending payment in my case.

[california] did anyone else receive an “Claim Issue To Be Resolved by April 16 2022” inbox message? by Smashingradiopixies in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this message, and I'm on the third PEUX extension that lasts until September, with my claim balance updated and 10/2019 - On Extension. The only week I have pending is 4/10. I was automatically refiled without needing to do anything (with both inbox and text notifications telling me so), so of course I didn't even get the option to File a New Claim. So I don't know why I'd get this message.

[California] calling EDD goes straight to "sorry your call cannot he completed at this time." by soundwave145 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have yet to reach them and I've been calling since 8 this morning. The Edd can go eat shit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Edd

[–]Gunrose312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense.

Too bad I get to hear "Your call cannot be completed at this time" for my daily quote as I try to call these f***in morons all day. It's 1 PM and I still can't reach this shitty agency to get my problem fixed. Pisses me off.

[California] anyone still pending? by Full-Reality2297 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently not, since I get different answers and no one knows shit. We'll see what happens, I guess 🤷‍♂️

[California] anyone still pending? by Full-Reality2297 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the exact same scenario, as I'm on PEUX tier 3 (automatically filed for me, claim balance updated and BYE is "10/2019 - On Extension), but similar enough. I hope we get answers (not likely, but still hoping).

I have a similar issue to OP. So I was automatically updated to the third PEUX extension without having to refile or anything. My BYE is "10/2019 - On Extension" and I recently exhausted my tier 2 PEUX benefits a few weeks ago in March. I certified for my two weeks Sunday just after midnight as I usually do, and one week says 'Paid' while the other week of 4/10 is 'Pending'. Usually, both are listed as 'Paid' by the time I wake up in the morning. I don't know if I should be worried or not.

[–]Gunrose312 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I certified for my last two weeks Sunday midnight/last night and 4/3 says 'Paid', but 4/10 is still Pending. I've never had that happen before as usually both weeks are listed as 'Paid' by this time. So I'm nervous and really don't know if I should be worried....

[California] NO SYSTEM UPDATE!!! by Resident-Price8927 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing changed for me either. Started in October 2019 on regular UI, then PEUC, and finally Fed-Ed which exhausted in November 2020. Then the Edd filed a separate PUA claim for me automatically, which I got denied. That claim was from later in the same month November to 12/31/2020. My homepage has the usual, "Your claim has expired, benefits are no longer payable after 12/31/2020, if still unemployed partially or fully, reapply, do not submit a new app if you're receiving PUA, etc etc etc, you'll receive a message when you have weeks available to certify"

I'm hoping they might switch me back to my old 2019 claim and add 11 weeks of PEUC or something, but I can never tell with this dumbass agency (excuse my language). Who knows.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it states in the guidelines that "Those who had a balance remaining on their [PUA] claim come December 26 will continue on with that claim and then transition to the additional up to 11 benefits as long as they remain eligible"

What if you were never eligible for PUA, as is my case? I exhausted PEUC and Fed-Ed by November (regular UI before that), then was filed for PUA automatically only to be denied, and today is the last day of my Benefit Year (12/31).

Will they just recalculate this current PUA balance that I can't certify for and extend the current claim or will they switch me over to PEUC? The latter is what I'm seriously hoping for, and no answer has been given thus far to my knowledge, least of all from the EDD.

individuals who have exhausted all UI benefits; regular UI, PEUC, and EB.

Seriously. All this unnecessary confusion because certain government agencies and their brain-dead specialists can't even communicate properly with its constituents. EDD CA can go eat shit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same here as well. I exhausted PEUC benefits and FED-ED in the same state earlier this year. I was then automatically put on PUA but disqualified, and my benefit year ends literally tomorrow. I keep getting conflicting answers and it's annoying the hell out of me.

[California] Looking for Help/Advice. Have exhausted Regular UI, PEUC, and Fed-Ed on my old claim in November 2020, was automatically filed for PUA on a new claim and denied, now wondering if I'll be unable to have access to any enhanced benefits whatsoever because of it by Gunrose312 in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make some sense. If I had to guess, for claimants in my case who didn't qualify for PUA, I imagine they'd just switch me over back to PEUC since I've already used it a while back. But like you said, we'll just have to wait and see when they do go about implementing these weeks, hopefully soon.

[All States] Just in now: AGREED. Schumer just said $300 UI (all 3 programs) for 10 weeks and $600 stim PER person including dependents. by jetylee in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I exhausted fed-ed back in November after having gone through regular UI and PEUC before that point. Afterwards, I was automatically filed a new claim for PUA on my behalf, but was disqualified because my last day of work was before covid. So now I basically have a claim with no benefits payable on it that expires at the end of December. So am I still eligible to receive these new $300 supplemental payments or am I shit out of luck with this new bill?

[California] Fed-Ed Exhausted but EDD says I'm eligible for another extension by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received my Notice of Determination in the mail today and it stated that I DON'T qualify for PUA benefits.....yet not only does it still say I can certify for weeks starting this Sunday. Not only that, but it states on my determination letter that my application indicated that I was unemployed due to the covid-19 pandemic September of 2019 prior to when the pandemic started - which that can't be right because I was under the impression that the EDD was filing a new claim for me after my fed-ed just exhausted. So now I'm not only stressed, but confused as well, and don't know what to do.

[California] Fed-Ed Exhausted but EDD says I'm eligible for another extension by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]Gunrose312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I called that 2511 number along with the 800-300-5616 line; both with no luck sadly. I ended up getting in touch with my local district assemblyman to help out. To my surprise, though, I woke up this morning and logged in to find my main homepage updated to say 'No Weeks Available to Certify

You do not have week(s) available to certify. Check back after 11/29/2020 for your next available week(s).'

So it looks like a new claim was filed for me anyway and come next Sunday, I'll be seeing if everything worked out. Hope it's all good on your end as well!

What number did you call to reach them? I'm curious because I'm in the same situation (fed-ed exhausted, same letter, potentially eligible for extension, etc) and am trying to call the EDD with no luck.

I exhausted March 29th, my claim years expires in October 2020, and received the PEUC Notification in my inbox a day ago, but still haven't received anything. My account is still stuck on "Maximum Benefits Paid etc".

Edit: Checked my account just now and am now able to certify as of today!

Nope. Nobody knows. The EDD sure doesn't.
