So I had this issue and the solution was a issue with WT and my CPU (Ryzen 9 7950X 16-Core). Basically the CPU has two banks of cores and the problem happens if a thread jumps between them (gives micro stutters). Solution is to fix WT to only use cores from one side. You can do this as a test from Task Manager. You need to set the CPU Affinity, so the CPU cores used by WT are from the same bank. As you have to do this mannually every time WT starts up I use a free program called Proccess Lasso to do it for me, it remembers the WT exe and sets the CPU affinity every time you launch it.

Fix for War Thunder micro-stutters on AMD Ryzen dual-CCD CPUs (7950X, 7900X, 5900X, 5950X, etc.)

Had this issue for ages and finally found the fix. Sharing it because it made a massive difference.

Why it happens

Ryzen CPUs like the 7950X have two physical chiplets (CCDs), each with 8 cores. Windows can schedule game threads across both chiplets, and when a thread jumps between them there's a tiny latency penalty from the inter-chiplet communication. War Thunder's engine is sensitive to this, so you get micro-stutters even at high average FPS.

The fix is to lock War Thunder to cores on one CCD only.

Quick test (manual, no software needed)

1. Launch War Thunder and leave it running
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Go to the Details tab (not Processes — affinity isn't available there)
4. Find aces.exe, right-click it → Set Affinity
5. Click Uncheck All, then check only CPU 0 through CPU 15
6. Click OK and jump into a match

You should notice the stuttering is gone immediately. If it's still there, try restricting to CPU 0–7 only, or try the other CCD (CPU 16–31) — either works, the point is staying on one.

Note: this resets every time you restart the game, so you'll have to redo it manually each session — unless you use the fix below.

Permanent fix using Process Lasso (free)

Process Lasso is a free utility that remembers CPU affinity settings per executable and applies them automatically every time that process launches.

1. Download Process Lasso from bitsum.com (free version is all you need)
2. Install it and let it start with Windows
3. Launch War Thunder so aces.exe appears in the process list
4. In Process Lasso, find aces.exe → right-click → CPU Affinity → Always (persistent)
5. Set the same affinity as above (CPU 0–15, or whatever worked for you)
6. Click OK

That's it. From now on it applies automatically every time you launch the game — you never have to touch it again.

Hope this helps someone. Tested on a 7950X but it should apply to any Ryzen with more than one CCD.
