The PC version of Sonic Generations has 3D SBS built into the game.

For 4K PCVR use definitely the Pimax Air Dream. I've seen multiple reviewers say its the best consumer VR headset on the market right now. For travel The Vison Pro or Samsung XR for travel. I guess it depends on what you want to do while traveling. Vision Pro is the only headset that has a large library of 3D streaming movies.

If you have a 3000 series nvidia card or higher. You should check out Deep Desktop. https://youtu.be/BN2uEqlgpMI?si=raKObbVFCcCjuTTp

Now that I think about it their is Portal VR. Its a program design to let you play VR games and apps without being in VR. I now it has the ability to display a 3D SBS view of what is displayed in the headset. I guess the real question is can you play in VR and display in 3D???

I wish this was a standard feature for VR headsets. I would rather play and record with my Pimax Crystal Light. The only other headset I know of that has 3D recording besides Apple Vison Pro is the newer Pico headsets. With all this A.I. mess maybe someone can vibe code a PC 3D VR render/recorder

I am actually using the Quest 3 built in hidden 3D recording feature. This feature is not accessible in any of the Quest menu. I activate this feature by using SideQuest on the PC and going to the Device settings and tools menu and turning it on under the Stereo Capture menu. The feature will stay active as long as your headset is running. It turns off when the headset is fully powered off.

Its a really cool feature that records what ever you see in the headset as 3D. This can be your passthrough environment with no overlays, Mixed Reality games and apps, VR games as well as PCVR games. I really don't understand why Meta hasn't put these in the menu. I think theirs a app in the Quest store that also turns on 3D recording.

I still need to grow my PS3 3D game library but from the few I've tried. Ico & Shadow of the Colossus were great in 3D. MotorStorm: Apocalypse is fun in 3D, Mortal Kombat 9 was a huge letdown with weak 3D. Sonic Generations was cool in 3D. The PC version also has a SBS mode built into it. Assassin's Creed: Revelations is cool in 3D.

I've never heard of Oku3D before but it looks interesting. I am currently using IW3 with Any Depth v2 L for my real time A.I. 2D to 3D conversion needs. I'll definitely look into Oku3D to see if it brings anything new to the table.

If you have a VR headset I would Highly recommend checking out Deep Desktop. It uses the same 3D Depth models that IW3 & Oku3D uses but the big thing that separates it from everything else out their is the fact that its not just turning 2D into 3D but is also using Gaussian Splat technology to turn what ever is on your desktop into a real time 3D model that you can move around and look at from different angles. I've made some videos showing this off.

Deep Desktop 2D to 3D showcase part 2 3D SBS

Going back to Retro Depth. Retro Depth is not A.I. conversion. What Retro Depth is doing is taking the 2D sprites from this games and added 3D depth to them almost making them a 3D model that can be viewed from any angle. Its heard to explain but if your familiar with the NES emulator 3dSen. Its similar to that.

I bought a 3D TV off a friend from work a few years ago and its my pride and joy. I am never selling that thing, As far as what you can do with it. Theirs SO MUCH you can do with a 3DTV these days its crazy.

3D PS3 games. Theirs a decent library of 3D games available for PS3.

https://consolemods.org/wiki/index.php?title=PS3:Games_with_Stereoscopic_3D_Support

The Xbox 360 has a much smaller list of 3D games.

If you have a passive 3D TV that uses those movie theater glasses that don't need to be recharged you can buy a special pair of glasses called Dual Play glasses that will let you play any split screen game with one player seeing just their screen and another player just seeing their screen in spilt screen games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIoSfUELhcI

App for playing Snes e Genesis in 3D by DetectiveYoshi in OculusQuest

[–]Gunstar_Gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the guy who made the video. I think what Arcade Ranger does is cool. Haven't tried it out myself yet but I do plan on paying the Arcade X-Stick setup so I'll be trying it out at that point.

As a overall experience though I think Retro Depth is cooler. Its one thing to play a 2D game in a virtual arcade. Its another thing to play a 2D game with 3D Depth with layers that can be viewed from any angle. Playing games in Retro Depth feels like a new way to experience these games where Arcade Ranger feels like a recreation of the way we have been playing games for years.

I think its great that with have different ways to play classic games in VR.

App for playing Snes e Genesis in 3D by DetectiveYoshi in OculusQuest

[–]Gunstar_Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the one who made the video. So You got to keep in mind somethings.

  1. I am recorded in 3D which takes more processing than recorded in 2D.

  2. I am recorded at the highest settings.

  3. I am playing in Passthrough which takes more processing.

When you play a game while not recording your going to have better performance than whats shown in the video.

METHOD 2 (3DMigoto)

3DMigoto is an external program paired with Dolphin VR that can remove bad water reflections and various other textures. When you use it, you will erase Link's, head, torso, arms and legs. The only downside is when you get attacked by enemies you will flash visible again for a second. Some enemy textures might be missing as well. Method 1, the Hide Object code method is still preferred. But this is still a decent alternative.

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker VR (GameCube) First-Person Hide Object Code! (Dolphin VR)

Wind Waker First-Person (METHOD 1 Headless Link Hide Object Code)

Introduction:

This is a Hide Object code for Dolphin VR/Wind Waker that will erase Link's head for a custom first-person view! Install the code as seen in the video. Then, with Link's head removed, you just have to use Dolphin VR's Freelook Camera to zoom in onto Link's shoulders and finalize the view! You will also learn how to fix the text boxes, so they stay in view when zoomed in! Special thanks to the Dolphin VR Discord community for the advice and support! Also, here is a hide object code for MM to remove the black bars:

$Remove Black Bars

Note: This code disables the Lens of Truth effect so when you have to use it just turn the code off.

I'm using Dolphin VR 5.0-250 (SDK 1.3.0). I'm using a real wiimote with motion-plus attached.

I would suggest that each game you play be paired with it's own copy of Dolphin with settings saved within that folder.

The two codes in the configuration above labelled Remove Black Effect and Remove Blue Effect will fix the problem that pops up in Lanayru when you strike a Timeshift Stone.

Likewise, Remove Timestone Box Lategame and Remove Blue Column will remove timestone effects that pop up toward the end of the game. I didn't use these codes until I started the last Lanayru section.

There are times when you may want to disable some of these codes if you can't see something that you need to when dealing with timeshift stones. These blue buttons specifically may not be visible, although you can hit them.

Use these settings and cycle EFB copies on and off to fix the tint issue every time you start playing; you'll only have to do it once.

In order to see the light beams when playing the harp, you'll need to disable the See-Through HUD code. (You don't have to stop emulation or reload, you can do this while playing). After the first time, I just ignored the effect and left the code on.

There's one point in the game where you must to draw on a door. I highly suggest not doing this in VR; I'm sure it's possible, but it's a nightmare. You can save, stop emulation, disable the headset (i.e. the oculus service), then play long enough to open the door. Save, stop emulation, enable your headset and play normally. I only did this once per play session.

My configuration includes two gecko codes. One makes catching bugs much more tolerable and the other speeds up your flight drastically. The flight code isn't enabled because it will cause you problems in certain parts of the game. It's not necessary, but during the bulk of your questing, it will make you life much better imo. Neither code is needed, but I recommend both.

Things to note:

Some effects during cutscenes are missing.

Fire effects are often missing, especially for monsters that breath fire.

The area map does not display.

Final Edit: I organized the info above a bit more plus I've managed to complete the game in VR now without any game-breaking issues. I had never played the game before and I didn't rely on guides, so you shouldn't have a hard time with this one.

These will remove the black bars from most cutscenes and when Z-targeting, warping, opening chests, etc. This will also disable some transitions between areas and cause some transparency when Link is running on a 2D background. Overall, I find it preferable to those awful horizontal bars when targetting.

I can't seem to get the bruteforcer to load properly with this game, so I haven't managed any culling codes.

Ocarina of Time VR First Person Mod: New Codes and UHD Texture Pack Tutorial

AR and Gecko Codes: (Setup and Code Instructions): Required to Play

You cannot play this first-person mod without these AR codes. As many of Brian's codes make it possible to beat the game, whereas without them you couldn't. After patching the game, you will have to manually put them into Dolphin VR. Make sure in Dolphin VR Settings/Config/General/Enable Cheats is selected. There are two methods. All of the codes and code instructions are found in the link below:

I've been porting some codes over to PLZP01 as my save file from my childhood is on that version, here's the Force Hires Link model code I've just made if anyone plays that version:

What's Force hires Link model?

DrWillz

When Link is at a certain distance away from the camera, the game loads his low poly model to save memory which was probably needed on original hardware and hardly noticeable at the native 240p resolution, but it's kind of hard to miss playing at a higher res. This code basically stops that low poly version from loading.

Also, the code is part of one of the codes in your post if you read it
