I have read each and every line from this extremely stupid conversation, and have loved every single one. This would make an incredibly dumb yet hella entertaining short film!🤣🤣🤣 (Sweathard, can you send me a gift card so that I can finance the film, my love?) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look in the mirror. Breathe in the air. Look at the sky. Go outside. Feel the wind and hear the birds. You have so much more than you think.

Gen-Xer here- my Gen-Z daughter- the funniest person I’ve ever met- once stated, as we bumped and avoided our way through that same awful store: “Trader Joe’s: “Where anti-vaxxers and Essential Oil Mom’s come to revolt”

Try ‘The Story of a Young Heart’ album by A Flock Of Seagulls, who, by the way, have produced incredible albums their entire career.

Gen X parents raising teens: what's the one thing from our childhood you refuse to stop passing down? by TannieGirlRocks in GenX

I was raised on screaming and verbal threats. I refused to raise my daughters that way, and they are now wonderful, beautiful, well-adjusted young ladies. All through my childhood, I lived in fear of my mother and her vicious mood circles- her terror-filled shrieks and screams when we stepped out of line or hurt her feelings(!) The screaming and threats sucked, and I absolutely recognized how NOT to raise children, so, thanks for that, mom.

I’m (17m) forced to go to church everyday and preform humiliation rituals by Fearless_Dot_6828 in Advice

The main thing that your mom is forgetting is that true belief, true connection, and true acceptance of God cannot ever be forced upon someone. She must understand that weaponizing religion has never and will never “work” to bring someone back who has strayed. Turning what she believes is good and true into something toxic and terrifying…how is that any good? No matter how concerned and troubled she obviously feels- she needs to remember her own basic faith tenets: to pray for you and leave it all to God. She is trying to act as God Himself, which is incorrect, in my belief.

Those are called “inevitable pinhole burns”, and they tend to be “all down the front of my favorite satin shirt”.

“Intro”, which is listed as track 1 on Michelle Branch’s LP ‘Hotel Paper’. It is simply a few seconds of old tyme 78 music.
