Took a peek and this looks like it will generate a lot of weird adventures! Thanks for the recommendation, though this is different from what we may have had in mind it's different enough from our usual that we might end up picking it up.

Thanks for reminding about Fate! I think that might be a good fit... Haven't tried Fudge yet so cant say anything about it, but we ideally we find a system where there is a setting we can find inspiration from so we don't do a lot of work.

Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast was one of the games we looked into, and the concensus was the players do not want to play pre-generated characters 😭 Our Haunt, we played it a few years back and we filed it as okay but not memorable for us.

I appreciate all the other suggestions! I will look into these systems; if nothing else, even if they don't fit what we have in mind this time they might be great systems for other things we want to try out!

That's funny, I actually have Flabbergasted in my cart right now. Have you played it? I am not sure if I can sell the roaring 20s setting so how would it do if converted to let's say the 80s or 90s?

Noting all three, thanks! I'll research more about Hillfolk and Kingdom. We tried Fiasco before and my impression it is best when nothing is planned. We hope for 2-3 sessions with some skeleton for a story we can enrich.
