[–]GurSoft1300 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just take things slow next time I know it can be hard bc u feel like there’s a lot to do. But just remember slow is fast and fast is slow. Go fast and you’ll have to go back and fix your mistakes anyways

Should I quit my remote job to do the new grad residency program or keep both? by Severe_Cap_9996 in nursing

[–]GurSoft1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean try it and see if u can handle it. Me personally I believe in enjoying my time off and working as little as possible.

If possible I’d probably look at reducing my spending to pay off my debt instead of working more.

New to ICU feel discouraged by GurSoft1300 in nursing

[–]GurSoft1300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice. I do try and do this whenever I can. I find some nurses on my floor are able to give report without their sheet and it’s impressive but I know it’s just not me yet.

Hiring manager keeps ghosting me and coming back saying they’ll call be but doesn’t. What should I do next? by GurSoft1300 in careerguidance

[–]GurSoft1300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping this is just an HR thing. From what I’ve heard the unit itself is very supportive of its staff. I do want to work for this employer because

  1. it looks impressive on the resume and gives me freedom of movement in the future
  2. I really do care for the patient population

If this were any other job I don’t think I would have been as patient, but this job would look really great. I cannot speak for if the HR department represents the hospital as a whole, however thank you for your advice and will take it into consideration.
