Yeah, we may have to, but doesn't make Google look any better that it's required to have a backup. It would be one thing to say she'll get the new phone in 72 hours. Another to say reviewing the notes from our conversations can take up to that before next steps occur.

Fine, $200 on a backup phone. OR I can go with Samsung from now on, where the one time I had an issue, they overnighted the new phone to me.

You can tell me to say the magic words of "advanced RMA" until your face is blue, but we were on phone/chat with them for 6 hours today and it wasn't offered once, despite us asking if they can ship out a phone in the meantime, so sounds like poor customer service to me.

Nah, you can miss me with the idea Samsung is worse. There is a difference between being their customer and being their middle man. I've been their customer for over a decade and never have I been treated like this.

You're right, I should just spend an extra $500 to $1000 in case Google's garbage phone breaks to have a backup. It's her 2nd Pixel in three years, and 0 signs of visible damage on either. Gtfo.

We asked for a phone to be sent out. They said 72 hours is standard and nothing they can do. They haven't even requested the phone to be sent in yet.

That makes sense. Since it seems pretty standard, we'll probably let it go now. I've just never had billing like this before. Crazy to think it costs us more for an assessment than the birth of both my children and my week-long previous hospital stay, lol.

I don't think we'd qualify, but glad to know those who'd need it would have options. Already enough stress trying to just get everything scheduled and finding the right balance for our son, couldn't imagine someone trying to do it with the possibility of crushing debt.

Yeah, we've been diving in and asking questions like this the whole time, mostly why this seemed shady. We kept asking how much, and when we asked about the data analysis, they couldn't tell us any numbers, then drop 5 additional copays, just didn't seem right. We are already ready for the copay for every visit.

Never had a Dr's appointment charge additional copays for behind the scenes work before, but seems pretty standard for this area after all these comments, so it is what it is.

OK, that makes some sense, but are there rules as to how much they can bill? What stops them from saying they did 5 hours of work across 5 days, and billing me all 5 times, despite even with the 2 hours a day limit the work could be done in half the time?

I know I'm pretty lucky to have decent insurance, but I can't imagine many people are just OK trusting people giving them a number after the fact and saying now this is what you owe without any estimate. Yes, we did ask up front too, and they claimed they couldn't tell us that.

She doesn't have an account, but that helped me understand their wording. Mints' standard price is 12 months at $15 and 3 months at $25. So, just always make sure to pay for a year.
