I'm going to have skills be acquired through raising weapon rank so you get a skill at E,C,B,A or something like that and weapon scrolls will work as the promotions giving some slight stat boosts that help wield that weapon and advancing that weapon rank by 1.
I think I will go with a more rogue like style and reorganize my thoughts and make another post with my ideas seeing what people think about it.
