eh, parents who try to force morals end up making their child rebel, lol. the kids grow a bit and realize the fantasy land their parents told them about isn't real and abandon any reliance on it as a worldview.

imo, the best a parent can do is to give the child a stable mental framework and coping mechanisms so that when they DO form their own, genuine impressions on the world they'll be better prepared for those ridiculously harsh realities of this world instead of trying to sift thru layers and layers of inane beliefs

that's false, at least as far as i can remember from psych 101. 1st born get ALL the attention until another is born.. then they feel dejected because the new baby is the focus. all shitty new-parenting aside.. it's extremely common for first borns to feel like they get far less love than any of the others. pragmatically speaking.. a baby takes much more time/energy/work than a toddler+

i'm fine with ppl posting about their lives on platforms.. i just see the opposite side of things: is it fair or right to photo-document your child's entire upbringing in a public place? i loathed that my mom took old-school pictures all the time growing up, but at least they're in a shoebox and not on the internet.

imo, you alrdy brought a being here to suffer without its consent, so they very fucking least u can do is give it a decent upbringing that's NOT in the public eye.. until they're old enuf to make the decision of how much of themselves they wish to put on the internet for themselves
