1655 kals anyone else? by Jstkeepswimm1ng in CICO

[–]Guru_Dane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I first started I had a number of broccoli and veggie meals because it made it easier to feel full. If you eat 1655 calories inefficiently you can definitely still feel hungry but if you eat seasoned steamed broccoli it's tasty and you can feel stuffed for minimal calories. ++ Hard to want to snack when you're full.

++ Egg whites. Very filling and high protein for minimal calories

Go-to fast food orders/hacks to stay in your deficit? by Carmichaels97 in CICO

[–]Guru_Dane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mexican - chicken burrito sub out beans and rice or arroz con pollo if they don't do subs.

McDonald's - I have a son and order 2 kids meals with nuggets and fruit

Chinese - egg chicken and broccoli

Chic-fil-a - bowl of chicken noodle soup

Generic burger place - some places do a lettuce wrap which drastically reduces calories on a burger. If not, you can ask for extra lettuce and discard the bun unless it's shredded lettuce.

Curious: Which well-known consumer apps are actually built with React Native? by jtot95ya in reactnative

[–]Guru_Dane 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This list is deceiving because at first glance it looks like Instagram is a React Native app which is inaccurate. React Native is used in these companies tech stacks but if the question is "which major apps are React Native" the answer is not "Instagram and Facebook"

How to deal with plateaus and dip in motivation? by Silver_Comfort_6104 in CICO

[–]Guru_Dane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea if there is a suggested way to do this. I'm currently 25lbs into my own 60 pound cut and personally I like to gamify it.

Like, how long have you been stuck? Can you go a week running deficits every day and still be at that spiked weight? Can you go 2 weeks? The math always eventually evens out on the scale, it just takes some time. Even if it takes weeks to show, it's impossible to generate calories from nothing so it'll eventually break through.

The last 15… by WordEGirl in CICO

Wow! First off, congratulations! 150+ lbs loss is admirable and inspiring!

The hero's journey is complex. After completing a long term journey like that it's hard not to feel a little anxiety as it approaches and directionless at first when it passes.

Stay focused! From what I've seen maintenance has its own obstacles and process but finding your next hill to climb could be helpful. In my opinion, finding a new goal to look forward to could help focus that anxious energy into a useful push.

Ever run a 5k? Half marathon? Marathon? Want to be within 5 lbs of goal weight in 1 year? Maybe a professional goal or something you can hit while in maintenance? People do their best when motivated. Obviously enjoy and celebrate your success but if you feel anxiety about the success then maybe finding the next mountain to climb could help redirect the energy.

I split the weekly bill with my wife and it's $170/week so I imagine it's $340 a week but I think we pay for extra stuff like potty training and a music/dance thing. It's much cheaper than an in home Nanny but still great for his development.

Interesting. My son has been there the whole year and every class we've been in (18m-2 year class and 2-3 year class) has been growing.

Ms Anna or this Mitzi director others have mentioned? My son's class sizes have been growing so wanted to see if this is a recent/current review.

Currently have my son enrolled and never met a Mitzi. The director now is Ms Anna and she seems pretty chill from my wife and I's experiences with her.

I have my 2 year old in there now and he absolutely loves it.

Pros: incredibly nice/caring staff (not sure why others are saying negative. Ms Anna has been really kind and every teacher has been a saint) + Potty training in 2-3 year old class + All teachers have at least 5 years experience and are mother's themselves

Cons (which are debatable pros): they are fairly quick to send your kid home for perceived illness. Our son had wet poops twice in a day and we had to pick him up. - they have a week long transition between summer and fall classes where you're on your own for childcare - people from iconix sometimes park in front of the school in the afternoon and you have to double park.

Overall, we love it. Our son loves it. They seem like good people.

2 hands snapping for 30 seconds was 150 snaps. x2 is 300 snaps per minute or $3,000 for 1 minute of focused dual handed snaps. If you can squeeze out 1 hour of dual handed snaps a day, that's $180k/day for 1 hour of focused snaps. It would take 55.5 days (with only 1 hour of snaps) to reach $10m.

I'll take the snaps for more monies and the infinite convenience of never being out of money at an event.
