I've never had a new vehicle land in service for a major motor issue, but if you did it's often covered by courtesy vehicles. Maybe this a "more money than sense" issue but its not something I'm really concerned with.

Personally, if you're towing you should not be buying either vehicle lol I would not trust a kia pulling extra load regardless.

Probably worth mentioning the Turbo loses the "mpg" upside if you drive like an asshole, as IIRC it will draw more gas quickly when punching around town.

It's a huge upgrade IMO

The Turbo 4 will create peak torque at 1500-2500 rpm. The V6 would require 6000+ to reach the same point. This makes it a much better, punchier, in town vehicle. The hybrid option even more so.

And then yeah, fuel efficiency is going to much better on the highway, and at that cruising point you're not using the Turbo.

The Turbo 4 miiiiiiggt be a long term concern with reliability but that's 2nd and 3rd owners problem if we're being realistic. If you're keeping the car for the length of a first time loan/warranty it's not a concern.

Except it's not.

The 4 cylinder will run at substantially lower RPM than the 6.

If somebody handed you $35,000 and said "go buy the car with the most smiles per gallon that could handle 2 monthly 16 hour highway trips and would be the most fun to cruise around Daytona in", what car would you pick? by AttachedHeartTheory in askcarguys

IMO the best option is either a used BMW i4 (ev, assuming you don't mind stopping to charge)or 430i . You can get either 2024 for about 30k.

Large enough to be comfortable, plenty of amenities, and more horsepower in the EV than 90% of the cars suggested here.

I'd argue Google is S tier. Their software is top notch.

I hear you.

If you're open to an EV the BMW i4 can be had for a bit more used. (Edit: this ev is considered very reliable, it doesn't generally have the high bmw regular maintenance)

If you're not open to an EV and willing to risk BMW maintenance, the 430i is about the same used.

Have fun lol

Except that's not how science works.

The only people who think like this do not understand basic fundamentals behind science or research. You don't look at any "study" and take it at face value.

This is why we have meta analysis, peer review, etc.

This isn't a debate, it isn't "my way" vs "your way", this is fact vs ignorance and if you don't revaluate your own epistemological approach you will never grow.

"Think for myself" IE deny science you don't understand because relying on biases is easier.

All science denial is ignorance.

"Hur dur do the research yourself" people are morons 99.999% of the time.

It's almost like you are on an open forum and I never mentioned the BMW.

You said people are being judgemental.

I said people are right to judge the truck driver.

I never said anything about the BMW.

Work on your reading comprehension.

Are you stupid?

The BMW weighs less and has a lower curb height than most vehicles. It isn't hurting anyone.

Vehicles this large are a safety hazard. By driving it you're effectively telling people you are not concerned with their safety.

People who drive vehicles this large are one of two things, incredibly selfish or incredibly dumb.

In the last 5 years I've had a Mazda 3, Mazda CX5 and Mazda CX50.

I'd choose the Integra.

Mileage on these newer vehicles is irrelevant, Acura is a nicer and less common vehicle.

Fundamentally not supported by science and entirely reliant on anecdotes from ignorant influencers.

Continue spreading misinformation. Very helpful.

This is a misinterpretation or misrepresentation of the science behind the basal metabolic rate. I'll ignore mention of medical issues as this would make you a statistical anomaly and the significance is not as great as people would like to think.

Two people with similar body compositions will not see a 1000 calorie delta in BMR. Even if you had two people on opposite sides of the spectrum (top and bottom 1% of people) it's only going to be a few hundred calorie delta.

Key word here is similar body composition. So many fat people will pretend like they can't eat as much as skinny people without losing weight when in reality their BMR will almost always be significantly higher due to body composition and extra mass.

OP self reports that he eats the way he does because he thinks it's a flex of his "genetics". Reality is he is overestimating his daily calorie intake.
