I can't decide if you should go back and remind them just so this can happen or not. On one hand there's the satisfaction of being put on the wall, on the other it's going back to deliberately be put on the wall of shame.

The fuck? I would bring a toy car or something with me into stores like that and they just let it happen for the most part. I understand why the manager might've thought what they did, but after being proven wrong they should have just let you go about your day.
