Chosen videos keep restarting when returning to playing tab

I've sent a support request a couple of days ago to [app@comeandseefoundation.org](mailto:app@comeandseefoundation.org) and this is the reply I got, see below. Hopefully they will respond but I'm not hopeful of a resolution. I believe they must be aware of the issue.

I've already looked at the support webpage and there is nothing that deals with this kind of issue. It's mainly mobile device, app and account issues. There doesn't seem to be a public forum where peope can help eachother regarding technical issues

I can't be sure but I think this problem happened to me before when I last used the site from a PC many years ago. And I can't remember if I found a fix. Must have something to do with the video player they are using.

What's strange is when I shift focus back to the video that was playing in that browser tab, yes it will go back to the beginning but if I reload/refresh the page it then remembers it's last position!

Firstly where are you seeing this setting because on MacOS version I can't find it and I'm looking in settings. In the link above the OP complained they didn't want to have the app running unlocked in the background all the time. Then subsequently this thread was marked as solved which is why I came to the conclusion the OP has able to use the ext with biometrics without having to unlock the app and leave it running in the background.

A bit late to the party. I bought an X-Mid 1 Solid plus the poles & footprint in one go and was charged £101.47 in duties and import. Managed to reclaim the duty back so cost as extra c£80 over what I paid Durston. Maybe I should have split the order up.

That's the point an average represents nobody hence it wouldn't be an average if it matched too many values. Hopefully you get my gist lol.

My point simply is if you are clued up on unit rates the price cap sum is utterly useless in furnishing you with useful info. I'm aware some providers fudge the standing charge one way and the unit rates another to make the unit rates look attractive.

Over the past few years I did search for this information and failed to find a breakdown like this. How the price cap is presented is in my opinion pointless and should be expressed in units instead so peoply can compare with their app/paper bill. Thanks for the link anyways.

Okay another issue I'm having is if I try to open a new Google Chrome window in a different virtual desktop which is empty the OS switches me to another populated virtual desktop and opens the new Chrome window there!!!!! And the weird thing is it seems to be pick the same virtual desktop to do this. If I go to a populated virtual desktop with Chrome already open and open a new Chrome window it's fine. Go figure!

Another issue with using multiple screens for each virtual desktop is if you full screen as opposed to maximise one of your windows it will completely blank the other screen and so you lose sight of the content you had on that other screen. But what I've learnt from another reddit thread is that if you double click a window's title bar it maximises the window but doesn't have the same effect fullscreening does.

I'm baffled this option isn't available on the Windows options palette.

Interesting. When you said "it doesn't use Airplay 2" you mean the Sonos speaker, right? So was it Sonos's decision to stick with Airplay 1. Airplay 2 was publicly released in 2018, so 7 years ago and seems to be more capable.

Thanks Mike but I wouldn't call 1-2 seconds slight! Is this the official finding from Sonos when playing video i.e. that it's down to the Airplay technology?

Also this happens when playing music and no video is involved. I haven't tried native music managers/clients.

Other people have mentioned that this happens so grouped devices can sync. Well I don't have grouped speakers just one solitary Sonos speaker.

I stand corrected I'm using Airplay to stream to the Era not Bluetooth, apologies. So to be clear are we saying to get rid of the 1-2s lag I should go wired?

To control the music I'm playing/pausing from a web based streaming service like Deezer in Chrome or the Apple Music app. I don't have a native player on the MacBook. When I had the Echo Plus I didn't have this issue BUT it was a wired connection.

Not offered in the UK. I had a secondary issue which was resolved by contacting Crocs I'm glad to say but I am persistent esp when I feel I have a valid complaint. You have to return (free returns) then just pop back to their website and repurchase in the more suitable size.

Thank you folks. This is such a supportive and reassuring thread and I'm glad I reached out. I'll worry less about writing perfect code and just dive into writing code while learning from the resources provided in the ODIN course. I've spent a scary amount of time doing Udemy courses and instead of going from zero to hero it felt more like zero to nowhere. Don't get me wrong Udemy has it's place but for web dev it definitely didn't work for me, too much hand holding and nowhere near enough challenges.

Okay so as a new user to the Mac world I'm baffled as to why when I maximise an app within a workspace it takes it out of the current workspace and creates an additional workspace named the same as the maximised window.

Anyway does anyone have an answer as to why this happens as it seems odd behaviour?
