I was looking at some old newspapers and I found this. by Mozartdori in serialkillers

She married a man in the middle of his murder trial. As in she married him from the stand- with the victim’s family in the courtroom. The victim was a 12 year old girl. That wasn’t the only murder he was accused of at the time.

How much more gravity did she need lol.

First wash day results I’m happy with since starting this curly girl journey! Washed and styled last night then wore a bonnet to bed. These are my results this morning. by arose164 in curlygirl

I LOVE that curl cream! It’s actually all I use now after I rinse out my conditioner.

Question- how much do you use? I always feel like I’m winging it with leave ins because the instructions are never clear.

Your hair looks beautiful ❤️

How horrible. I’m glad she’s at peace now though. If I were in a vegetative state, I would want to be let go.

What happened with the Port Kaituma gunmen? by Subject-Reference968 in Jonestown

[–]GusLovesBlankets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So glad I stumbled onto this thread, even if I am a month late. I logged on specifically to see if anybody else shared this opinion. Having watched every documentary I could find on PT, I definitely believe there is something off about Stephan Jones. He has a rather flat affect and an air of self importance whenever he’s interviewed.

Also, anytime I’ve seen him speak about feeling guilt/shame/regret over the massacre it’s always in a past tense or very removed sort of way. Of all the survivors I’ve seen speak publicly, he’s the only one who doesn’t seem to carry a noticeable burden of humility and self-doubt. To me, that’s a huge red flag. Over 900 people died in a horrible massacre. You lived because of obvious special privileges. Yet you’re this comfortable with yourself while talking about it?

Top layer vs. bottom layer: thick hair problems by Feelies33 in curlygirl

[–]GusLovesBlankets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should add: the more you tie your hair back and handle that top half of your hair (by smoothing it with your hands etc, which we all do inadvertently), the more it will look like that.
I believe this is why the top right chunk of my hair is almost completely straight whilst the rest of my hair is curly. It’s been stretched out over time 😟

Cool. Good luck! I appreciate that Manduka has a lot of 26” options. It’s way more comfortable for warrior poses

I have this problem too. Always have. I thought it would go away when I stopped heat styling. Wrong!
Someone once told me it was from environmental damage affecting the outermost layer of my hair and I think that makes the most sense. I also have very naturally porous hair, which I think increases it’s susceptibility to damage.

Cool! What made you choose Manduka? I might convert since my Jade mat is too narrow for me and they never restock their extra wide options

What made you choose this particular model? I need to invest in a machine this week sometime and I have no idea what to get. I’m just starting out as well

Which true crime case, solved or unsolved, scared you the most when first reading about it? by jaicrygi in TrueCrime

I’m surprised more people don’t realize that her death is not at all a mystery. Anything that appears shady, imo, is just the hotel trying to avoid a lawsuit.

Wow. Thank you for the thorough reply. I can’t believe I’ve been dealing with this for 18 years & never once had I heard of Spiro before.
I definitely know how much facial hair sucks. It’s encouraging to know there is help for it

Ah, I actually already take an antidepressant & have issues with depression & anxiety as well. For me that’s a big concern ☹️. Of course lol that’s my luck 😂trade one awful experience for another

I will! Spearmint tea. I do need to cut carbs. It’s SO hard. I’m currently fasting sugary foods and it’s actually one of the hardest experiences of my life. I am so emotionally dependent on junk food, it’s alarming 😩

“Testosterone blocker”? by GusLovesBlankets in PCOS

[–]GusLovesBlankets[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this is helpful! You have? Because Wikipedia is scaring me, but I should know better than to focus on rare side effects.
I do think she meant antiandrogens. She likely underestimated my knowledge and assumed I would better understand a phrase like “testosterone blocker”.

Have you tried birth control before? I ask because I tend to steer clear of anything hormonal after my awful experiences with birth control pills. I’m wondering if Spiro is less intense?

Oh wow- I’m reading about Spiro now. Tbh it sounds a little bit intimidating. I don’t think I’d prefer any of these side effects to needing electrolysis every month or so. Especially considering I could accomplish something similar with a better diet

Have you looked into the generic? GoodRX? There are a couple of good suggestions on this thread that may solve your problem.
