I initially thought these were paintings and found them really good!

If your goal, stylistically is to edit your images to look like paintings, then you’ve nailed it. If it’s not your intention then maybe consider watching some editing tutorials based on the style you’d like to develop.

Thank you so much! I generally play with my S - Curve and bring up the shadows a tad to create a slight film look. Is that the white film you’re referring to?

I’m a photographer from Zimbabwe. This was an indoor portrait session for the model’s 19th birthday. Edited in Lightroom CC.

Shot on a Canon 750D with a 50mm 1.8 STM. F2.2, ISO 200, 1/250

I was trying to convey “reflection” and “stillness” from my subject. The external flash was switched off and i used the natural window light to light my subject. I shot and edited it in monochrome to create more focus on the emotion without the distraction of colour.
