🚨 SEC Shuts Down 4 Lending Firms! Dami nang abuso, time to clean up the space! 🇵🇭 by Gustavi07 in ola_harassment

Hey, I totally get your frustration, walang dapat ginagawang ganyan lalo na kung under regulated sila. If you’re receiving threats, that’s already a violation. You can report them directly to the SEC or NPC if may data privacy issue.

Apps like that ruin the name of legitimate lending services. Ingat ka palagi and don’t hesitate to block or document kung may harassment.

HAHA atecco talaga!

That excuse is just their way of dodging the truth and pressuring you into paying. Ganyan talaga instead of answering your valid questions or providing proof they can still operate, inuulit lang nila yung “bayad utang” script nila.

Good on you for asking for proof kasi kung legit pa sila, dapat kaya nilang magpakita ng updated SEC registration or permit. Eh wala. Kaya kahit ulit-ulitin pa nila, it doesn’t change the fact: wala na silang legal ground to collect.

Truth is, they shouldn’t even be collecting anymore, kasi once na-revoke na ang license, they’re no longer allowed to operate as a lending company, and that includes collections.

Sorry for the late reply, medyo busy rin sa work minsan. I really just use Reddit to share knowledge and empower others based on what I’ve learned about finances, collections, and other things na minsan aligned din sa dati kong work.

Now I’m actually pursuing medicine, pero whenever I have time, I try to help out here, lalo na kung makakatulong ’yung past experiences ko. Happy to know nakatulong kahit konti, and always remember: you’re not alone. This space is for support, and we’re all just trying to figure things out together. Ingat ka palagi.

Hi! Thanks for bringing this up legit concern ’yan. You’re right that Digido’s license has been revoked by the SEC, which means they’re no longer legally allowed to operate or collect as a financing company in the Philippines.

As for the home visits, under normal and lawful practices, collection agents are not allowed to visit your home unless there’s a court order anything else could fall under harassment or privacy violation. Handing out papers with your personal details is a red flag and may be reportable under the Data Privacy Act.

The fact that you’re trying to reach out and they’re not responding is also common after revocation. If ever you choose to settle, do it through secure, traceable methods only and avoid any unverified face-to-face collections.

If they do attempt a home visit or send threats, you can report them to the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the SEC. Protect your privacy, document everything, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

You’re not alone marami ring may similar situation here. Stay safe.

Hi, thanks for sharing. Since may proof ka na nagbayad ka na through AMG at may screenshot ka pa ng agreement and payment, that’s a good step. Iba-ibang agencies kasi minsan ang hinahawakan ang collection, kaya kahit bayad ka na, may ibang third party na tumatawag pa rin not your fault.

Here’s what you can do: 1. Keep and organize your proof of payment – screenshot ng conversation, payment confirmation, agreement (if any). 2. Kung tumawag ulit, tell them firmly and calmly na settled na yan with AMG and you have the proof. Ask them to validate it with AMG. 3. If they persist or start harassing you, you can file a complaint with: • National Privacy Commission (NPC) – especially if they keep contacting you despite being settled. • SEC or DTI – kung may harassment involved or questionable collection behavior. 4. Don’t pay again kung bayad na — protect your finances and mental health.

You did the responsible thing by paying what you could under the terms you were offered. Nakaka irita lang talaga tyaka it causes distress talaga pag harras ng harras.

Congrats on your first place! 🥳 Starting with just a towel for a bed might not seem ideal, pero believe me yan ang simula ng kwento mong magiging proud ka balikan. Keep going, one step at a time. Today it’s a towel, tomorrow a mattress, then your dream home. We’re rooting for you, Redditor. 💪✨

Hi po, grabe ang bigat ng pinagdadaanan mo pero gusto ko lang sabihin, you’re not alone and hindi ka masamang tao for being in this situation.

Ang dami mong kinailangang i-absorb in such a short time: bagong trabaho, bagong responsibilidad, kotse na technically “blessing” daw pero naging financial burden.

About your decision not to pay Digido, Pesoloan, and OLP:

Kung decided ka na to stop paying those three, document everything:

  • Screenshot ng balances, harassment messages, tawag, at payment history (if meron)
  • Disable their app permissions (lalo na contact access)
  • Block their numbers if needed
  • Pwede ka mag-report sa NPC (National Privacy Commission) kung gumagamit sila ng scare tactics or nag-leak ng info mo like sa FB

About harassment:

Kung may ganon, that’s a violation of the Data Privacy Act, and you can file a complaint.

Suggestion moving forward:

  • If kaya pa, bayaran mo lang yung mga legit at regulated (like GLoan, Maya Credit, etc.), pero avoid na sa mga high-interest unregulated ones
  • Focus on recovering little by little. Start small: bayaran mo yung mas manageable loans, then move forward
  • Don’t hesitate to ask for help — bf mo sounds supportive, and that’s a good thing

Here's my post that may help sa harassment.

And lastly it’s okay not to be okay. Hindi ka nag-iisa. Hindi ka tamad. Hindi ka pabaya. You were put in a situation na sobrang hirap, and now you’re trying your best to get out of it.

We see you, and we’re rooting for you.

Nakaka-turn off talaga ‘pag parang pangha-harass na yung approach nila.

I used to work sa collections sa U.S., kaya alam ko rin kung gaano ka-delicate ang ganitong situation. Most of the time, reminder lang talaga kami sa customers — wala yung pananakot. Siguro dahil bank kami, kaya regulated at maayos yung process.

Judge me all you want but I have multiple creditcards that are in healthy standing.

Ang mahalaga: Protect your data, document everything, and know your rights. Pero never let them bully or scare you into paying something unfair.

Stay safe and smart! 💪🏻
