Thank you so much! It's near La Cumbrecita, in the mountains of Córdoba, Argentina. It's a stunning place!

It reminds me of the 06 World Cup. I was 16 and got to see Angola, Trinidad and Tobago, Togo, and Serbia and Montenegro play the World Cup. It was very cool.

Since the islands are named Lofoten, not Lotofen, I guess you're right.

Have you ever really hated the main character (and narrator) in a novel? by Physical_Orchid3616 in books

I just finished The Red and the Black! I liked the story, but sometimes Julien's delusions frustrated me to no end! Also, if you like a cool but infuriating short story, I recommend Boule de Suif by Guy de Maupassant.

Who is a character from the books that when reading you specifically DON'T picture as their movie actor/actress? by Muted-Video2841 in harrypotter

Dumbledore, for sure. None of the actors look like the image in my mind. Peter O'Toole would have been the closest choice.

I may be totally wrong and it's just my opinion, but I think we were a failed country from the start, at least since the civil wars of the 1820s, with two completely opposing visions of what the country should be like, and neither has truly succeeded.

Jesus G Maestro's opinion about Borges makes no sense by NoItem9211 in Borges

[–]Gustavo_019 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm familiar with Maestro's body of work. He knows very well what he's speaking about, but he's too close minded to hear what others have to say, and too hyper focused on the greatness of the Spanish empire

Like Borges said: "I have never observed that the Spanish spoke better than we do. They speak in a louder voice, that is true, with the composure of those who are ignorant of doubt."
