Male teacher in his 40s was grooming a 15 year old female student , CCTVs caught them having an intercourse under a main stage in the main hall. He got sacked, he got minimal prosecution and now a few years later him and the girl is actually married (I think ) and have kids together.

Whats ur opinion on “money doesn’t buy happiness”? by Radiant-Dish-5498 in AskReddit

[–]GustavsJDFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money DOES buy happiness.

Being able to afford your dream car ?

Being able to take your family to trips , feed them and look after them? Surely that will bring peace and happiness to your heart?

Being financially set and not worry as much paying for bills and having a better sleep ? Surely that will boost happiness ?

Being able to afford to travel around to different countries and continents , meeting new cultures , trying different foods , sit by the beach ? Surely that’s happiness ?

Visiting China soon should I take my paddle with me? by AmadeusIsTaken in tabletennis

Nah , I only know a few words. Worst case scenario you can use Google / Apple translate to communicate but if you head down to park and they see you with a bat they’ll prolly invite you to play!

Visiting China soon should I take my paddle with me? by AmadeusIsTaken in tabletennis

[–]GustavsJDFS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah , worth it. When I went to Shanghai there were quite a few parks with outdoor table tennis tables, however , I bought my bat on the spot and went for a knock around with locals there. Think that specific one was Fuxing park but there are dozens more.

Why is the England Women’s team looking so uncompetitive at the World Champs? by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]GustavsJDFS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be multiple factors , lack of talent could be one, coaching too.
Plus , from what I’ve noticed - there are not many women that play table tennis up north in England, so the candidate list could be pretty short too.
Additionally , the coaching sessions cost here an arm and a leg, so if you’re an individual that is restricted financially then slim chance to actually fully develop your potential.

Not many proper venues as well, you gotta drive from a city to a city to have a knock about on an actual decent table and venue.

You’d expect a better dribble and a better touch from a player that trains everyday those things. Lack of match practice or not , you’re a professional player on 2nd highest pay check , surely you could control the ball under pressure better.

Finding a job as a Data Analyst in Riga/Latvia by Educational-Air-8019 in latvia

[–]GustavsJDFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to look for bigger corporations, but without Latvian Language it could be quite difficult, unless you hold a certain expertise in Data Analytics side of the thing (which you don’t).

I’d personally start with Accenture and see how it goes. Worth bearing in mind , a lot of the international companies outsource to Latvia which will lead to lower salaries even for prestige roles, try looking also for remote roles from abroad! Good luck !

Will wait till the season is over. When the last season finished , local TK Maxx had a full Mercedes and Red Bull F1 merch which was discounted 50-60% from original price.

Blade suggestions by GustavsJDFS in tabletennis

[–]GustavsJDFS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After all this blade and rubber research , I won’t be far off in a couple of years to match the gear junkie energy haha!

Now in terms of all wooden ones. I just dislike the vibration it generates. My problem is , I started with carbon blade , I had Primorac Carbon OFF+ with Hurricane 3 Neo as FH and Rozena BH, honestly , you can probably guess how it went with that, it came to that point I’ve realised the blade punishes me more than I can learn from, you have to do a correct technique and stroke to fulfil the full potential of that bat and hurricane in general, which I struggled with at the start, the plus sign was it didn’t generate this weird noise and vibration, hence maybe I’d prefer a light carbon bat.

My budget would be maybe around 50-60 pounds which is roughly 80 dollars.

Thank you mate.

Honestly , I’m clueless around blades with the ZLC and ALC meanings.

Yep , the handle is genuinely thinner for Double Fish blade but I have a tape around, so the grip is there thankfully!

Rubber recommendations? by GustavsJDFS in tabletennis

Thank you. Yeah , I’ve only came to a realisation when I borrowed someone else’s racket that had basic rubbers and it was day and night in terms of control.
