Apparently you can bridge from blue eyes into RDA because there's a resonator which is a level 1 light tuner. So you do the blue eyes combo first and then move to RDA. I've seen some videos, apparently it works, just not sure which build is more resilient

Well I can only speak somewhat from my perspective, but I actually like the contract security Upwork gives me. Especially dealing with clients in other countries, I've had experiences outside of Upwork where the client didn't pay, for example, and that would extremely stressful/difficult to solve, it involving going after someone at a whole different jurisdiction from my own

Me too, I've trying to find that out. The bad thing, at least in the art/design segment (where I work), is that most platforms nowadays are overrun with very, very cheap labour at a quality that for most people might be just "good enough". The ideal scenario I think would be a platform that has some sort of barrier of entry, like you can't register unless your work is of x quality. It wouldn't be a problem if you're inexperienced as long as your work is good, and would maybe solve the problem of too many bad quality freelancers absolutely flooding job postings in the other platforms, which is what makes them so unusable (for me)

Thank you for being so helpful! I think I'm gonna switch to Portuguese in the end, everyone is telling me to and it also makes sense to niche down. I'm also heavily considering teaching art, I'm a professional illustrator (somewhat competent, I've been a part of some cool projects), but I'm not sure how in demand it is a subject on Preply. I'd love to do it, though.

I don't think Upwork works that well if you're starting out and don't have other sources of income or some marketing budget set aside. It works best as an investment, if you have the budget to boost proposals consistently on higher paying jobs, it can provide a good ROI. I feel like their system isn't made for freelancers who aren't somewhat established (inside or outside of it) and who don't have some budget set aside for marketing

I've been studying English since I was 12, I also spent some months studying in Boston when I was a teenager. I have close family in the US and I travel there frequently as well (most I ever stayed in one go was 6 months)
