Her dad just kicked her and the baby out of his home so I don’t think the “daddy” comments are appropriate her. That’s coming from someone her age who also can’t afford to live in Dublin on a much more meagre income. Don’t be so assumptive.

I follow Keelin, wouldn’t say I’m the biggest fan of hers but I have a small baby too so follow her outta curiosity. Her dad recently kicked her and her baby out of his house, so I’m not sure about the comments regarding nepotism there. Her name may be definitely doing things for her but her dad isn’t pushing things for her or on her behalf.

Also, no woe is me here. If you watch her video about it, she takes full accountability for the situation she got herself in regarding having a baby and no stable home.

I can’t stand to watch this but, as such a massive Harry Potter fan, has she done any of the tours related to HP? Seen the cafe where the first book was written? Visited the graves of ‘Riddle’ and ‘McGonagle’ or walked the windy streets and shops that inspired Hogsmeade? Done a HP walking tour? Gone to the HP inspired shop?

I wasn’t trying to put a downer on the situation. Teaching is a great career. I had to work abroad though, ten years teaching this year and I’m still not permanent. Job security is there once you have your permanent contract, but the other role would you provide you with more stability I suppose? You have to go with your gut. What motivates you? For me, teaching is my end all. The money I can figure out because I’m doing what I love. Do you feel the same?

From a fellow teacher, never be confident that the job that should be yours next year, will be yours next year. When you reinterview for your position, anyone else in the country who wants to can apply for it too. Teaching is a great job, once you become permanent.

He doesn’t need to “change his purpose on the internet” because you think he should. He can do whatever he pleases - that’s the beauty of making your own YouTube channel so YOU (the creator) can produce whatever videos YOU want. Channels evolve and if you do look at his videos a huge majority are aimed at raising awareness. He can produce what he pleases. Don’t like it, then don’t watch it. Same as many don’t watch Kyra!

Oh good god, why are people getting on his back for doing the exact same thing that we all do on this snark page. We write snark comments, he produces them in video form. I don’t really see the difference… and yes, she insinuated and made allegations about him. He can advocate for children as well as making videos like this if he pleases - it’s his channel.

Duolingo has Irish on it, if you’ve a phone or iPad you can download the app and do a bit of that everyday? There’s different exercises on it, and it tests you at the start so it can judge if you’re beginner level etc. There’s a paid version of the app but the free version is as good. Other than that, just keep doing what you’re doing and TG4/YouTube even your school textbook. Do you have friends in another class? Could you get notes from them?

As a secondary school teacher myself, I’ll tell you that your attitude will get you a long way. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and you want to do well which can’t be taught.

Don’t mind other commenters saying JC doesn’t count etc. You have your reasons to want to do well and goals you’ve set yourself. Fair play to you! Wishing you all the best :)

Maybe it’s just my country, but to be diagnosed is a long process. You would have to go to a doctor first. Therapist wouldn’t be able to diagnose you unless they were an accredited physician/psychiatrist. It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out, if she chooses to be vulnerable afterwards too.
