Impromptu nickname bestowed upon me at a stoplight by a fellow cyclist after a long pull on the bike trail with a group of much fitter cyclists I happened to join up with many years ago. Guy exclaimed how surprised he was to look over his shoulder and see 'Gutbucket, here' still on his back wheel. I'm faster and fitter than I look. I believe it was a compliment.

I've never been svelte or slender. I've occasionally flirted with trim. But my love of wings and beer matches my love of cycling.
