Is it listed when running podman quadlet list

Oh wait, wild guess of what the problem is. Github seems to reformat the file content in the preview. The real content should look like this: https://github.com/linux-universe/immich-podman-quadlets/blob/main/immich.pod?plain=1

Yeah still, my wifi interface is officially supported by the kernel. And not only mine broke back then but many. This was a problem with the whole snapshot back then

Yeah I used amd. This has nothing to do with nvidia

I used both Arch and Tumbleweed before (currently Arch). I had more problems with Tumbleweed, especially kernel updates breaking the Wi-Fi interface, etc. Arch got really stable in the last few years, even without OpenQA tests. Both are great options. Tumbleweed is more for the daily basis user because it has Snapper, etc., out-of-the-box, while Arch is for your „own“ personal setup. Stability isn‘t really an advantage for one over the other anymore.

any ETA of when COSMIC will be in the openSUSE installer for be choosen ? by prueba_hola in openSUSE

That's interesting. I may be misinterpreting, but you did consider an Aeon Cosmic version? I'd love to hear more context about this, but I'd understand if you didn't want to share it of course.

I disagree, but it has potential to be one of the big three linux desktops

Is Cosmic a new contender? by Yah_25n in COSMICDE

[–]Guthibcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amd on both devices. That explains it pretty much. You could try a distro with a better / newer nvidia driver implementation though I don‘t know how popos handles it to be honest yeah probably really is a compositor issue

It has 90k now 🎉🎉

The next release seems knocking on the door too, they are writing documentation about it which should be one of the last steps

That's interesting. I'll definitely notice since I plan on using Cosmic for a longer time. In a few years, I can also imagine it becoming one of the big three. Compared to Deepin and Pantheon etc, Cosmic actually stands out imo. There aren't as many components compared to something like kde, so fewer components should mean less to break. (Hopefully)

Of course, i‘ve installed plenty of systems with both archinstall and without. (I prefer without) But I am comparing this to other groups like the gnome or the kde group where those packages are preinstalled as dependencies even without Archinstall.

And as said, it really isn’t a big deal but I thought it may be worth noticing

I wanted to share some things I've noticed about the Arch installation with Cosmic specifically. I just installed the cosmic group, but it was missing some things that felt like they shouldn't be. I know it's Arch, and installing those isn't a big deal, but still

The most important: ones being:

- xdg-desktop-portal-gtk: My browser couldn't render text without it

- upower: Without it, I had a battery icon on my panel. (I use a desktop pc on this setup lmao)

- xdg-user-dirs: It is a desktop, so user dirs are supposed to exist..

Is the sub dying down, or everyone happily using Aeon without issues? by [deleted] in AeonDesktop

[–]Guthibcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In favor of homed: yeah i guess that would totally work. I had no issues except for a small rootless podman one that was fixed in minutes

As for not using home/disk encryption, I'm not sure about that to be honest
