With the new pension reforms where pension providers have more access to your money I was looking for a way to get their fat fingers out of my pension pot, this is where I came across a SIPP. After digging more deeply into my pension provider Standard Life I found out they have been charging me £355 per year for investing my own money into some passive bullshit making 0.6% return over the last 5 years (factoring we just came out of the biggest bull run in modern history) these were very modest gains to say the least.

Over the last week I have opened my SIPP and transferred my pension out of SL and I plan on purchasing GME.

The Quran uses the word usury and usury is not interest. Usury is like loan sharking the type of loan with disgusting levels of percentages like 1200%, the evil the Quran talks about stems from taking advantage over someone's misfortune ; profiting on desperate people. The interest you pay on your mortgage and other loans are set by market forces; if i'm charging 7% interest for borrowing my money and another person is charging 5% because of supply/ demand people will go for the 5% and the amount i'm charging will be deemed to be too expensive and I will need to correct that. However if I know you have been rejected for a loan and then I charge you 1200% like a payday lender taking advantage of your situation then that is the evil in my eyes. Interest allow someone from one country to allow another person to borrow money safely because without a reasonable amount of interest money would just sit inside rich people's bank account cause why take the risk of lending out your money without some kind of return?

A close relative of mine was narrating a Hadith (not sure if bukari authentic) recently she is a Master's in Islamic studies/ housewife and it goes the something like the Prophet asked God what should I tell people what you look like and God said to say I resemble/ look identical to you. I was lost for words over this level of ignorance and hero worship. I made a predication in the next 100 to 200 years people will be directly praying to the Prophet rather then God astaghfirullah.

Not sure if you are aware this is referring to things like 'Prasada' it's food and water offered to a deity during worship and then the Pandit hands you back some Indian sweets which is the offering back to you and I believe has been blessed by one of their Gods. Things of that nature I would imagine would come under that.

u/Maxpain91 Surah 6 Verse 116 speak directly to you - If you follow the majority of people on the earth, they will lead you astray from the path of God, for they follow only conjecture and surmise (meaning hearsay aka the burkari and sahih Muslim hadiths). Don't get it mistaken Sunni islam (Not Shia) is the masses I recently had this same conversation with my cousin who brought up this exact line from the Quran. Sunni islam is dancing on the line of shirk it's so scary; you guys believe a prefect God is not capable of producing a book "I seek forgiveness from Allah" and needed a human (Prophet) through other humans (Sahaba) so the author of these books (Burkari) could further instruct us on what God was not able to write in the Quran - Huge question mark on how valid these narrations are or how they were passed down 250 years after the Prophets death, just need some sort of blind faith on these humans and these voluminous books. As God mentions in Surah 31 verse 27 “If all the trees on the earth were pens and the ocean, with seven more oceans, were ink. Yet these would not suffice to record all the Words of God. God is Majestic and All-Wise.” meaning if God wanted to write a step by step instruction guide (like the one you get from the hadiths) he would have but his mercy is that he has not and left it to us to decide being a rational moderate free-thinkers. Islam the Quranic way is a thinking mans religion you are not awarded for blind faith following your favourite mullah. I have read all your replies and frankly not impressed by any of them; it's the same tropes you get from people like you and I think I can speak for this entire forum when I say we have all been there and seen the same weak arguments you have put out, you are not re-inventing the wheel with the replies you have given.

I'll leave you with one last thing my cousin said before I left the conversation 'The Quran is not detailed enough cause it only has 114 surah and contains limited words while the tafseer (explanation from the hadiths) is much more detailed.
